gasp, how shockingly obvious :D

(not having a dig at you Il Drago, just the number of people who thought they'd pick up both Inter and Newcastle)

Meh the thing is we also dont really fit in the profile of US buyers. Most of them are out for a profit and with the zhangs demands and our current financial state that seems rather hard to pull off unless you got extremely deep pockets. Like i dont see us be interesting to a guy like marc lasry who is the latest US billionaire rumoured to be interested in us. The dude has a net worth of 1.8 bio which includes the Bucks. How the fuck is he gonna buy inter and invest into it without taking huge financial risks?
I know there are a lot of other americans but debt financing ATM is pretty expensive and in short term will only get more expensive IMHO. Which is why I think we need someone with deep pockets. The other solution would be eliot style as in we d loose all our "star" players pretty fucken soon.

Yeah, that other solution is quite possible as well.
Yeah but even then i would still think valuation would need to come way down....
Eliot or any other vulture fund would not touch us at valuations that the zhangs want...
Basically it s gonna be an extreme hard task for this investment to make financial sense for a fund for any return oriented investor...
Like how much more than 1 bio can or could you possibly value this club at and how many years and how much investment would that take?
Hard to imagine that any corp that seeks even a 20% yearly return on assets would think plowing anything above 600 mio into this club is a good idea.
Like your base case for valuation of football clubs and for the development of the italian league has to be very optimistic to think this could work out at the valuations the zhangs are seeking.

Lasry has already dismissed the rumours linking him to Inter.

When is the oaktree loan being recalled?

Zhang/Suning dont have $250M, we either exchanged hands to Oaktree, or he will be desperate to just get something and call it a day. Just wish PIF didnt buy newcastle because if it was 18 months later, it would have been perfect for everyfuckingone!!!

The rumours would say otherwise before they bought Newcastle.

the same rumours still say they're interested now.

I can believe that, after being rejected initially by Newcastle, they considered Inter, but I think ultimately the context of Inter and the league basically makes it impossible

Suning Have Received “A Large Offer” From Non-Italian Buyer To Buy 100% Of Shares In Inter, Italian Media Report

Inter owners Suning have received a very financially significant offer from a major non-Italian buyer to purchase 100% of shares in the club.

This according to Italian football finance news outlet Calcio e Finanza, who report that what is described as “a large offer” has arrived to the Nerazzurri owners, and that the prospective buyers are not interested in a significant minority shareholder.

Rumours continue to circulate that Suning could sell Inter, and Calcio e Finanza verifies a recent one.

According to the football finance news outlet, the formal offer has been made to Suning, and that the buyers would want to purchase the club all-in.
The interested parties reportedly would not want any significant minority shareholders, and so they would want to purchase the vast majority of shares.

This would entail Suning completely leaving the Nerazzurri rather than staying on in a minority role.

I honestly don't know who we should get sold to. Arabs? Americans? They all have their nuances... I think it would be best if it was an Italian-American with a passion for Inter, with a brain too of course.

So they finally received my offer.

Everyone is completely forgetting about a party that was partically about to buy Milan until Elliot pivoted and sold to Redbird (which took a loan from Elliot to buy the club, thus increasing the revenue they get from the sale).

Investcorp was extremely upset at Elliot for basically ignoring them about 2-3 weeks before Redbird finalized the deal. Investcorp has $34.9bn USD assets under management. They know how to make money. They own Gucci, Tiffany & Co., and a bunch of other assets, plus are a hedge fund, and handle credit.

If they are still interested in buying a football club, I see them interested in Inter and will invest in the club. I remember reading an article that they were extremely upset as Elliot completely ignored them.

thing is, compared to Milan, Inter still losses an awful lot more money, we're carrying a lot of debt, etc.

Even if our valuation wasnt 1 billion, a new owner would have to spend like 1.5-2x the cost of Milan to get us back into a somewhat healthier place, and then there's the stadium, etc etc.

Milan are a unicorn. A hedge fund acquired them with almost zero cost basis. They wiped out their debts, in part because there was no cost associated with acquiring them.
