Mike if u thought those lyrics were good, just read this piece of beauty from Cormega. Read it thru.

I'm sick of gossiping b!tches and niggaz who gossip like b!tches
claiming they live but if you pop em they snitching
some watch from the building, gain knowledge of dealers
knowing they lack the heart of those who out on the benches
I was out in the trenches
which enables me to paint such a powerful picture
like Apocalypse Now
I put my heart in my lyrics, every time I sit down
I write, my source of inspiration ain't 3 and a half mics
I must have been an mc in my past life
presently I'm unquestionably poetic, I'm that nice
people act like, I don't deserve nothing I got
I grew up in the spot
my sleep was interrupted by customers knocks
some of y'all should just stop the animosity you got for me
like it was not
for years we ran the projects like a marathon
these catastrophic, my time depth of pride became my own conquest
Subsequently some are with me others ain't yet, the gutter's within me
I wish for nothing except that my mother was with me
some place judgment against me based on nothing but envy:star:
they pray for my downfall like the song by biggie
born in the city which never sleeps till rest in peace
its carved in stone some starved while others bled to eat
rap is my legacy I leave my seed my destiny
except I hope she never see the treachery success will bring
the trife life and death of kings
I'm from the rarest breed of people who rep the street and spit poetically
never sleep, rest assured mega is dope in its pure form
the dealer mc, keeping it real is my protocol
fall back I got you hoping off the style- I was working on it
the beat is lifeless, till I put my verses on it
I reminiscence confinement as I read a kite from
my people with secret inditements
freedom and trying, contemplating putting streets on the tires
dominating this beef with my rhyming as if you need a reminder
I spit that drug dealer shit you might have seen on the wire
what other lyricist is known for giving people consignment?
I'm eager to find my equal at rhyming
I rock, iceberg jeans with the nikes
an extremist when rhyming deep as poseidon
we lived in violence now I live in a peaceful environment
a secret asylum from the streets where people be wiling
some blind with fury from seeing my shining
like a phoenix arising from the depths showing the reaper defiance

oh fk me, bow down.

Listen to "Dance with the devil"...although brutal, to this day IMO one of the greatest songs of all time.

Mos Def: Oh No.

Say my name, say my name
Observe how I stake my claim, I independently lay it down
and played my game, my own two raise my flame
Cause dick ridin ain't my thang
I earned what they said I wouldn't
I got it the way they said I couldn't
But now I'm gettin it and they whole grill is crooked
Mad cause I'm gettin caked out from my bookings
When y'all was askin permission I just stepped up and took it
What!? The kid's better buy my rookie card now
Cause after this year the price ain't comin down
And if you got a joint bubblin then get money now
Cause in a minute, there's gonna be some real trouble comin out
Just a warnin, as usual some cats wont heed it
The hard headed always gotta feel it to believe it
It's a shame that jealous gaze is too short to see it
But when they face hit the cement, they nod in agreement
We could play nice and decent, or dirty like the 7-1 Precinct
Call it a day or make it a long evenin
You keep on schemin, man give me some more reason
to have the women in your mama's church screamin "Lord Jesus!"
Harder than y'all cause I'm smarter than y'all
I know that deep down it's got to be bothering y'all
Pay attention, watch fly gon' get larger than y'all
Put your pride on the rocks, make you swallow it all

I must praise you bunch for some excellent taste. I'm surprised you guys aren't into G-Unit and the mainstreem crap with the amount of airplay it gets these days compared to the real stuff.

Immortal Technique is ill, but he isn't versatile enough for my taste which is why I can't listen to him too often. His material is deep, but songs are way too similar. It's as if once you hear one, you've heard it all. Obviously, it's an exaggeration, so don't take it word for word or as a diss.

But, fair call. :)

I listened to Dance With The Devil a few years back and that song blew me away and now that you said Immortal Technique I searched it on LimeWire and found that shyt again! Song is sick and this guy is a lyrical genius just listened to a few others.

Brutal as hell...is it really a true story though?

Dont really feel immortal technique much...not much rhythm..its more about a story than anything else.

New World Water- Mos Def

New World Water make the tide rise high
Come in and it'll make your house go "Bye" (My house!)
Fools done upset the Old Man River
Made him carry slave ships and fed him dead nigga
Now his belly full and he about to flood somethin
So I'ma throw a rope that ain't tied to nothin
til your crew use the H2 in wise amounts since
it's the New World Water; and every drop counts
You can laugh and take it as a joke if you wanna
But it don't rain A FULL WEEK some summers
And it's about to get real wild in the half
You be buying Evian just to take a ****in bath
Heads is acting wild, sippin BREW, & puffin dank
Competin with the next man, FOR HIGHER PLAYIN RANK?
See I ain't got time try to be Big Hank,
**** a bank; I need a twenty-year water tank
Cause while these knuckleheads is out here sweatin they goods
The sun is sitting in the treetops burnin the woods
And as the flames from the blaze get higher and higher
They say, "Don't drink the water! We need it for the fire!"
New York is drinkin it (New World Water)
Now all of California is drinkin it (New World W)
Way up north and down south is drinkin it (New World Water)
Used to have minerals and zinc in it (New World)
Now they say it got lead and stink in it (New World Water)
FLUOROCARBONS and monoxide
Push the water table lopside
Used to be free now it cost you a fee
Cause all things fully loaded they roam cross the sea
Man, you gotta cook with it, bathe and clean with it (That's right)
When it's hot, summertime you fiend for it (Let em know)
You gotta put it in the iron you steamin with (That's right)
It's what they dress wounds and treat diseases with (Shout it out0
The rich and poor, black and white got need for it (That's right)
And everybody in the world can agree with this (Let em know)
COMPSUMPTION promotes health and easiness (That's right)
Go too long without it on this earth and you leavin it (Shout it out)
Americans wastin it on some leisure shit (Say word?)
And other nations be desperately seekin it (Let em know)
Bacteria washing up on they beaches (Say word?)
Don't drink the water, son they can't wash they feet with it (Let em know)
Young babies in perpetual neediness (Say word?)
Epidemics hopppin up off the petri dish (Let em know)
Control centers try to play it all secretive (Say word?)
To avoid public panic and freakiness (Let em know)
There are places where TB is common as TV
Cause foreign-based companies go and get greedy
The type of cats who pollute the whole shore line
Have it purified, sell it for a dollar twenty-five
Now the world is drinkin it
Your moms, wife, and baby girl is drinkin it
Up north and down south is drinkin it
You just have to go to your sink for it
The cash registers is goin CHACHING for it
FLUROCARBONS and monoxide
Got the fish lookin cockeyed
Used to be free now it cost you a fee
Cause it's all about gettin that cash (Money)

Nice to see u guys are into decent hip hop..

It just drives me mad when all u hear is "Fiddy is off the hook" "OMG, G Unit are the shiiiit" etc. Fk England man, fk it to hell :D

People round here are either into Indie, gay girl music, or the wack new shit that people refer to as hip hop (yes I mean u, Frisko)

I've heard some German stuff on a few Tech N9ne songs. It's alright I suppose but I prefer listening to music in a language I can understand.;)

Eric B. & Rakim - My Melody

"I take 7 MC's put em in a line
And add 7 more brothas who think they can rhyme
Well, it'll take 7 more before I go for mine
And that's 21 MC's ate up at the same time"

"My name is Rakim Allah, and R & A stands for "Ra"
Switch it around, but still comes out "R""

BDP - My Philosophy

He raps on and on for about 7 minutes...

Biggie - Warning/Everyday Struggle/Suicidal Thoughts

Nas - N.Y. State of Mind(although I have to say I'm biased because of the beat)

Ice Cube - Today was a good day

Lyrics wise, I put Rakim, Krs, Biggie, Nas and Mos Def among the 5 best ever.

Suicidal Thoughts is definetly one of my favorite of all time. They recently remade it on The Biggie Duets it's called Hold Ya Head feat. Bob Marley...good song.

Btw Oleguer, your sig...it's from The World Is Yours from Nas, right?
