the last FIFA I bought was '14 (the next year I bought PES and hardly touched it). It was obvious from a few years before that game that they were going full force into ultimate team and were ignoring other modes like career mode and online ladder. I haven't bought FIFA since then and just stick to FM nowadays since all I did was play career anyway with the occasional online match. I don't think anything can bring me back to the series honestly.

Fifa 21 lost a ton of Licenses. I mean I wish both games didn’t do that exclusive shit. Just both have the teams and then the better game wins. Like madden vs 2k nfl. Madden was like ok we can’t win so we just signed a 10 year contract bye!!!

Also fifa is so pro German, French, Spanish or English player. It’s hilarious how high their ratings are compared to any other league or country. I feel PES at least try’s to make rating a bit fairer. Not hey you pick a Chinese team and while they suck compared to Real Madrid. They still can run.

EA is a sponsor of the Premier League for at least 5 years and their games have been in UK shops taking pretty much the entire video game section. I used to go and ask for the PES game and the guys working there didn't even know what this was, yet you had 10 stations where people were playing the heavily advertised FIFA game. This was pretty much standard every year in the early 2010s.

Their rating system is ridiculous. A friend of mine picked it up recently due to quarantine and because that's the only source he has of knowing any players from foreign leagues (he only follows the local league and he has extensive knowledge, it's ridiculous how he can tell you all new transfers, the positions they play, their squad number, how many times they played and everything, yet he doesn't know who Sandro Tonali or Erling Haaland are and he asks me if they're really that good )

He keeps flooding the teams he picks with average PL talent because they're so freaking overrated. He's also adamant that they're actually good players until I forced him 1-2 times to watch Arsenal (which is the team he allegedly supports from the Dennis Bergkamp days) and Southampton where these "wonderkids" he was hyping at me played. After a couple of similar tortures, he now plays mostly in South America to learn some of the players as he says (no clue if they're real) and fully agrees that FIFA overrates players from certain places.

I mean, anyone who follows football can tell you that the FIFA ratings of players over the last 15 years are ridiculous.

Yeah the ratings are quite ridiculous. Especially the Italian ones. I got a love-hate relationship with the game. FUT can be massively fun, but also extremely dreadful and mentally whipping.

Pace is so key in this game, players like Dzeko, Ibra, Giroud, ... all are useless since they got no pace.

Played WL with an Inter past & present team + Maradona. Not the best of players but had some fun and of course raged quite a bit due to the beautiful gameplay. Sadly ended G1 when Elite 3 was in my reach, highlight of the weekend was beating a verified player (his record was 14-1 and I was 16-5, thank you EA).

So sad Fifa would for some reason always have a dumb EPL team give me 35-40 million for Perisic , 200 for Lukaku and 200 for Lautaro

by the 2nd week of the league I'd make a billion on player sale but the fans would be pissed

Will be irritating to play Inter on Career Mode with the amount of teams missing from the league. Do like the changes announced for it though, hopefully they look right when actually get my hands on it.

Main reason to buy fifa was real players name and faces. All these generic guys are the reason I stopped playing PES

no colombia NT. Yea def skipping this season unless they do the WC upgrade for free next summer

but since the WC is in the winter of 2022. I wonder if it will be pushed to Fifa 23 or a separate game all together.

Best FIFA game ever was Road to World Cup 1998, followed by FIFA 99.

I may buy this shit after 2003* if they release a RTWC version again.

like every English, Spanish, Italian, French, Brazilian and German player is rated like 5-8 points too high

Literally every German goalie even in 2nd division would start over a South American NT starter.

let’s not even get to Ecuador haha they rate everyone in the 60s.

my favorite is when the starter of the team is from South America and the two bench guys under him are from England or another “big” Nt and are rated way higher for some insane reason

the 2nd a Player gets a euro transfer they get bumped like 15 points. I mean ok. Maybe way too many leagues in the game but then don’t put the teams in if every player is a 50 with a 65 potential

literally every Colombian goalie in fifa 21 with the exception of 4 who get called for the NT are rated over a 70 or have a potential over a 70. So you have 18 year olds rated a 60 with a 64 potential

FIFA since the turn of the last decade is the reason why new generation of football fans only care about PL and CL. Game sucks in rating players and it actually has had a monetary agreement with both competitions, so inflating certain players ratings is a thing that's been done.

No clue if Inter with this partnership has seen a change, but you could perhaps check if it applies. Probably not by so much since we haven't done shit in CL.

Last FIFA game I really enjoyed was actually the last I bought, FIFA 2003. I only got some ceremonial games, like WC2010 or something in the meantime. Gameplay mechanics feel so bad and the only reason it survived the hype was the disastrous PES series for PS3 which gave it also a big advantage for the launch of PS4. It's always been game mode focused, and now everything's online so fuck that. It's for kids, stoned college students or people who live in their parents' dungeons to enjoy.

Mbappe is a f*ckin cheatcode in FIFA. His pace is unmatched and with Dybala behind him and Ansu Fati and Antony on the wings it's to easy to score when counter-attacking or in the transition.
