Thanks feature

We have added a new feature to the forum. Now instead of thanking a poster in a new post you can just use the little thanks button in the left hand corner of the post. We believe this will add value to the forum and we preferred it to a reputation system.

It's a good idea to remove the "X people have thanks this post. They are: Y, Z..etc"

But I'd like to know which posts got the thanks.

I'm not sure if Ehsan can do it but if only the poster got to see people who thanked his post or if it can be included somewhere in the profile.

This will give me an idea why this post was liked and perhaps post more of it. Whether it's pictures or a tactical opinion.

Also I've noticed that fave player is back.

It's OK I guess, at least doesn't seem as much a popularity contest as the rep system. Question though, whatever happened to user location that used to be under people's usernames? I mean I guess the nationality thing might be a clue but not everybody lives in the same country they put as their nationality.

Can you implement an option (for every person if he choses it) to hide it alltogether?

To be honest, I have no interest in it whatsoever. I'm here to talk football, not to collect flowers.

I also think, seeing reactions, that there woud be others who would probably dissable it as well if they only had an option like that.

A popularity contest would be the rep system, where you can give - rep points. That's why we prefer the thanks system. Its just a way to show appreciation if you like a certain post.

But why can't we see the post we got thanked for? All I know is that I got thanked twice, couldn't you make it so that if I press the "2", I'll get to a page that shows all my thanks or something?

Or maybe a notification that says that I got thanked.


Or you could make it like Facebook's, so it says "2 people have liked this post" underneath the post. Kinda like it was before, but smaller.
