Couldn't watch the game, but honestly was expecting this. Medvedev got Tsitsipas' number from day 1. I think the fact that he cannot overcome this challenge is what will keep him away from reaching great heights.

Medvedev and Zverev on the other hand I can see winning multiple Grand Slams eventually. Tsitsipas will likely get 2-3 at best and their era will include several winners imo, no more three headed dynasties. I hope I'm wrong though, but that's what his mentality and consistency has shown me thus far, even if it's too early. He needs to get Becker or someone to coach him.

Hopefully more players will come and we don't just rely on two great individuals to carry the flag. It's always been a mystery for me why this wasn't a thing around here.


We all know Nadal is going to win the men's edition, but it'll be interesting to see the new female's champ. Sakkari appears to be the favorite now, being the highest ranked player in the semis, but she tends to choke bizarrely against presumed inferior players if she doesn't kill them off with a 6-0, 6-1 win. Maybe this is the tournament where she elevates her level, it definitely feels this way.

Seems to me like Italy is producing some talent as well brehme and I'm only basing this over the tough match Novak had against Musetti and now he's facing another Italian! or are they only good on clay? Sucks it won't be against Federer as apparently, he retired the last match.

Osaka wouldn't have been the favorite in Paris, but I think we're now having 6 different winners in the last 6 editions! Remarkable parity there. There's a dynasty or a rivalry in the works in women's tennis I reckon. Been a while with various different winners all over the place.
