I hate Jake and Logan Paul so much; but I like Tanner Tessmann so far, this signing has a Bisseck one vibe.
He definitely is good enough for Serie A teams.

Let’s hope it pens out that way… although my fate in North American players is around freezing point

So this guy's agent has the audacity to call some sizeable commission now? Has he realized he's representing a player who has played mostly at Serie B level?

This is starting to smell something like last year iirc, his agent isn't his dad, I hope.

Those fucking agents are a disease. It’s time FIFA does something about this.

This deal makes zero sense. Tessmann is 23yo, so not exactly called "kid" to develop abroad.

He is already adapted to Italy football as a starter in Serie B. So he should be good enough to start in a Serie A minor side frequently => loan him there. Otherwise why we even consider making an "investment" in a position already packed?

Don't have one.

This deal is more likely to be used to sweeten a deal in a near future for a new buongiorno, calafiori etc... than it is considered as some super prospect we can count on. That's the way I see it, at least, and I think a lot of our transfers of young players in recent years were exactly that...

Of course there is an off chance he proves himself massively, and we bring him back, but I think initial thought process is: oh he is a nice bargaining chip for the future deals.

So apparently we are signing him, and immediately sending him out on loan to Everton.

While I would love to see how this 'Murican dude performs with us this season, I also can't see him getting many minutes as our midfield is packed with so much quality in Zielinski, Barella, Hakan, and Mkhitaryan. Tessmann is presumably better than Asllani though.

How so? Asllani was a Serie A regular and played great Euro for Albani. Tessmann is Serie B at best and can't even make it for USA.

Grass is greener on the other side here.

Well, this is just my wild guesses.

1. He wants to leave Venezia.
2. He has low transfer value.
3. Venezia already signed Oristanio for our clean plusvalenza, so perhaps he is part of the deal.
4. Growth potential, future resale value.
5. Oaktree may just want a representation.

Regarding loaning abroad (report says Ipswitch? and Feyenoord are interested) yeah this kinda odd, but perhaps they are the only clubs that can guarantee him playing time at the moment.
Anyway, cmiiw, this may also mean he will be count as nonEU when he came back. If he just loaned in serie A it would be fine.

A serie B player better than Asllani I find that hard to believe, especially age into consideration. I still don’t fathom this deal no matter how hard I try.

The only cool thing about him is probably his name, but I guess that is also some value.

It’s odd to me he is essentially refusing to stay at Venezia. He is basically guaranteed to be a starter for a whole Serie A season. I get that they will probably be battling relegation but it would still be good year for his development.

My guess is he wants to be somewhere where he's better seen and in general in bigger club in terms of environment (facilities, maybe coaching etc).
