I have never watched this 'Murican dude play. But everybody looks like prime Gerrard in Youtube videos.
Dude surely can shoot, pass, tackle, and dribble. But then again, it's Serie B.
Wow, based on this video we got ourselves a bargain! Serie B is not exactly trash, top teams play exciting football - it's the defending that is usually below par.
I'm mostly impressed by his
ability to shield the ball - which is crucial for
possession-based play. He already looks like the opposite of Gagliardini which is awesome. Decision making seems spot on, but again these are the highlights.
Another thing that is remarkable is how he
using both of his feet! Did you guys see how comfortable he is? This enables him to short dribble in spite of his
strong build (1.88m).
Seems to
enjoy battles and comes out winning these duels. Dude is 22 years old but looks like a midfield General.
Seeing him kissing the badge of Venezia is funny now that he is unconvinced of continuing there... But it's probably just a reflex nowadays. At least he looks
fired up!
Getting an American from an Italian team
will not consume a NON-EU slot, so it's perfect.
Getting him under these transfer
conditions is an excellent deal: we are over-evaluating our Primavera for the books, selling him for profit and getting a promising midfielder in the process. We also get him from
Italian school of tactics to University (Serie A)
for free! Venezia will probably use him enough to further develop, simply because they don't have anyone better?
His exposure to Serie A can only increase his value. Even if he won't be ready for Inter in one year, he will be attractive for a mid-table EPL club
It seems like Inter cannot lose on this deal,
well done! (BBQ pun intended)
PS: I personally love his name
