In a country where image and 'face' is everything, and Zhangs have always struck me as being quite self conscious of their wealth status, especially in light of CCCP crackdowns on public displays of wealth and corruption, if you dont think these guys are very careful and considered with their media image I dont know what else to say.

It's not just Greeece. It happens in various places.

What H doesn't understand is that not everyone in football is a business/high profile person first. That's for Hollywood to be concerned and some top CEOs. In football the owner tends to be noisy. The lack of this in the Premier League is more of a proof as an exception than the norm. It's a soulless environment that's surrounded by business & monetary incentives, not football.

Trust me, no one told Zhang junior what to say. They could have told him to remove it but then decided against it as it already did its damage. And they may tell him to stop doing so in the future.

This is not a proof-read message, it's just someone who wants to speak up for whatever reason. Maybe he feels more sensitive or more of an authority in the situation since he's Chinese and this shit started in China. Who knows? What's for sure is that this wasn't advocated and it's one of many examples of leading football/sports making public rants, statements or whatever without having worked out the details prior to that.

And having spent time with plenty of these people during my life, I can safely say that claiming that lawyers or consultants talk to these guys and dictate what is said and what not is rarely done. And if it's done, it's going to be reactionary.

To be honest, I wondered if it had been written by a member of the Curva because many of their communications are poorly constructed and go off on tangents. I also wondered whether our President struck deliberately hard in an attempt to fit in or prove himself as a black and blue.

The main issue about the post is he singled out and insulted Dal Pino as a clown. This is the blunder of the post. He could attack FIGC as an institution that he cannot trust but once he mentions a name, then he is asking for a counter attack and he has now taken the attention towards him rather than let it be on Juventus.

The post screams amateur hour. I know Zhang is just a kid, but he's the president of one of the ten biggest football clubs in the world. You can't act that way if you want this club to be respected. You have to realize that there is an entire football federation begging you to make the slightest mistake so they can punish you. They are on their knees praying for you to do something like Zhang just did. Now he will be fined or punished, and he has no one to blame but himself. Even worse, he's being fined for making a rather weak/unexciting statement. Marotta's over the past few days have been much more damning/of a higher quality.

Completely agree. If I were him, I would have let Marotta to continue barking at the enemies (FIGC and Juventus). I would give a strong statement without any personal attack and be the good cop.
