I can't believe they won something, i thought i was gonna die without see Spain doing this, the bad news is that for the world cup, Luis Aragones willl not be the coach, and it's going to be Del Bosque, a useless coach who won absolutely nothing outside the great Madrid team of 2002.

The big problem for Spain was the defense, but Marchena and Puyol were in unbelievable form, unlike his years with theyre clubs. Also the surprise was Senna, Spain never had a good DM in the last years, only Albelda, and Senna did play better than Albelda in any game from Albelda in the NT. You can't win something without good defense and a good DM even if you have very talented players like Silva, Iniesta, Cesc... and probably the best keeper in the world.
Too bad Torres was the scorer! probably the guy i hate the most outside any juve/barcelona/milan player.

44 years after, you know next year something like this will happen to Inter, 1965-2009.

I had a feeling that Spain will win it all before the tournament, I think I mentioned that in another Euro08 thread.

For the first time in a while, the team that deserves to win actually won. And I agree with you Alex, Senna was a major deference, Spain never had a sound defensive player like him before.

Also, I don't want to kick a dog while he is down, but the absence of demanding/egoistic players like Raul was key. This was actually a team effort, I think I heared that Spain had 7 different scorers for their 12 goals.

I am puzzled by the 'I hate Torres' stuff around here! A diver??? Blame your retarded defenders who can't tackle smartly, Torres did what any half-brain player would do and make the most of a mistake by us.

I always hated him before, but now I really respect him. He is very talented and a team player, I think Spain has a bright future with him and the rest of the squad. Losing Aragones might be a blow, but he showed in the past that he isn't the best. The team had a major part in that, and I think if the next coach plays the same way, they can win the world cup.

You could see they got a lot of self belief after overcoming Italy. Before that they just looked like the talented but choking Spain. But that changed it all.

Most Spanish players are below 25 or just around 25. They would be a force for the next WC.

Dont believe result would have been different even if the head butt would have been penalised.

Germany's Mid Field looked sluggish.Spain would have continued to dominate them even with 8 or 9 players.

Congrats to Spain.

What a downer for Schweinteiger LOL :p

It's one of those times, when you find yourself in the wrong place, at the wrong time :D
