The amount of poor crosses or cross attempts last night reminded me of prime "Spalletti Out" time during his time at Inter. Completely lacking any idea what to do other than cross cross cross.

Don't have one.
He is tactically a phenomenal coach
I don't know about that. I think overall that's his biggest issue. His starting setup is more often than not good enough, as you have said very rarely we get outplayed, but devil is in the details and often times we don't have one more higher gear to go cos we always start in the highest possible one.

And we have seen it last night, players instinctively know if we don't score at the early stages we will slowly but surely lose momentum, hence the frustration and arm flapping. It's one speed, one setup and if it doesn't work or the opposition coach changes something we regularly get in trouble. There is very little sophistication there, you have one solid and on the eye good-looking setup which has close to zero depth and variation to challenge for a league title and maintain a certain level of continuity.

If we miss top 4, he has to leave.
Sadly he might be fired even if he reaches the top4. I really feel for the dude, on one hand his teams drop in form throughout the season, but he also does quite well in cup tournaments.
Hopefully his Inter wakes up and finishes the season on a high, because I'd like to see one more full year of Inzaghi, at least.

It does not matter who is coaching us when our owners are paupers.

As a club, Inter have done as well as they can hope for under Zhang's ownership.

We should not be satisfied with winning the Coppa Italia or the Super Copa but that is about as good as it is going to get until the club is sold. We have reached our ceiling and no self-respecting quality coach woud agree to coach Inter while the Zhangs are still owners.

I was suporting him, even after losing scudetto to Pioli. But no more, he had enough time to get to know his players, their abilities and how good/bad they fit in his Limoneball. When you put three slowest cbs with similiar characteristics in first 11 than my friend you are a fkn cowardish chickenshit fraud. It all starts from defence. Only two players improved under Limone:Hakan(and that was pure coincidence cause if Brozo stayed fit we would never see Hakan in that role) and mediocre trash Dimarco. All others decline. He needs to get big BIG result in CL to deserves staying here. Fuck him and fkn Coppa.

I really don't think coach could do anything tonight. We have more then enough chances, but simply we don't have players who can finish the action with the goal.
20+ shots. The coach isn't the problem.
No balls to "raise the bet" and get the ball into the net! No plan B, no other formation or alternative tactic(s).
Players are out of form and not sharp enough. Is it not his team of coaches that train and motivate them? He lost any hope for this season by wasting the pre-season and we all saw how he started the campaign. This Lazio mentality of winning a couple of games is simply not enough at Inter.

What should be a motivating, morale-boosting win to build upon, instead becomes a routine marker for an upcoming predictable capitulation. The only conclusion that can possibly be drawn from this is that the players themselves are simply just cunts while Limone himself can not motivate them to approach the small games with the necessary effort.
This seems to be what Curva Nord also think:

INTER ULTRAS BLAME INZAGHI AFTER SAMPDORIA DRAW
Inter‘s Curva Nord ultras blamed coach Simone Inzaghi after Monday’s 0-0 draw against strugglers Sampdoria: ‘He doesn’t motivate the team.’

The Nerazzurri are 15 points below table leaders Napoli and only three above Milan who sit fifth on goal difference. Ultras reacted to the draw at Marassi with a statement published on Instagram where they blamed the Italian tactician.

“The dull draw against the second-last in the table once again proves that Mr Inzaghi is not able to motivate his players against ‘small’ teams,” the statement reads.

“We saw a small team mentality, especially in the second half when he stuck to his system rather than playing with three strikers. We are Inter; opponents should fear us.

“We should be aggressive and demonstrate superiority. On the other hand, we look like a small team who are happy with a draw. We wasted three vital points and three teams are ready to catch us after the next misstep.”
Inzaghi needs to change his approach towards the players if he wants to continue at this club.

I think all of FIF agrees that Inzaghi is not a world class coach and couldn't motivate a drowning man into a life raft. Inzaghi has his limits as predetermined by his personality, he's not going to change to Conte or Simeone over night so that is a pointless discussion.

For me he did enough to win last night, whether or not bastoni played instead of Acerbi or if DiMarco started instead of Gosens is besides the point. We had ample opportunity to score. According to FIF these are world class players, most of who trained under a wining coach. The blame should lie with them primarily. Players like Lukaku, our marquee player, who has managed 1 goal in 10 games and some how Inzaghi is the sole problem. Guys need to get it into their heads, no coach is perfect. The players need to be relied on when the coach comes up short.

For as long as I've been an inter fan we've always had players to carry us through difficult moments: Milito, ibra, R9, Vieri, Adriano, Lukaku, Sneijder, etc. Someone who the manager could turn to for a solution. With this squad, who is that player?

he's just like Conte. A man that has no plan B, and his plan A is worse than Conte's. Retard should have left Skriniar/De Vrij out at the half and put Darmian on that left spot, or switch to back 4 and go with 3 attackers. But, no, lets wait until the 90th minute, to go all out vs fucking Sampdoria.

I’m afraid they’re not that many options available this summer. The only top guys available are Simeone and Tuchel, both of which probably out of our price range. In serie A there is really only Juric that I rate, and he’s even more unproven than Inzaghi. Of course there may be better under the radar picks, but I doubt our management is smart enough to think of them. Inzaghi may very well be the safest option going into next season so you guys should prepare yourselves.

If our management is reluctant to sign players without Serie A experience imagine how it's gonna be with coaches. Marotta would never even consider an emerging coach from abroad. He said it himself when they hired Inzaghi to replace Conte. While they rate coaches from abroad they wanted to sign someone from Serie A.

I can even imagine how that list would look like.

At the top there will top coaches who are impossible to hire. Simeone, Tuchel and any other top coach who could become available. Then there could be Pochettino due to his ties with Zanetti but i doubt Marotta would go for him. Then there would only be options with Serie A experience. Juric, Sarri, Gasperini, Allegri ( ), Motta ( :D), De Zerbi. When there were rumours Inzaghi could get the sack it was reported Ausilio's preferred option was De Zerbi. De Zerbi may look like a "sexy" hiring but coaching Brighton is much different than coaching a top club in Italy. I also have my doubts if it's wise to go for another attacking coach when defence is already a big issue. Also we would have to make many changes to play De Zerbi's system.

Mourinho could also be an option but i doubt they would go for him.

I don't know if Inzaghi is the safe choice but he certainly is the easy choice. And our management loves easy choices.

LOL this one really cracks me up, I guess part of it is I was doing serious reading on rfU post then this boom!
But imagine Simone really turns to Darmian and pauses then gazes at him and go "You are up. Do your magic."

We are second we basically played most of the season till now without Brozo and Lukaku who were supposed to be key players, we had a huge transfer drama with our captain and best CB in the middle of the season and people are shitting on inzaghi?
Like IMHO he s not responsible for any of this shit.... But it had a huge impact on his work.
I m not saying he s done great so far but considering the circumstance imho he s done well enough....
If what we are currently seeing Lukaku barella incident and also barella lautaro in training is a indication of there being trouble in the group and simone cant resolve it then by all means fire him. But if the team spirit is okay and we finish secong and maybe even get past porto it would be insanity to fire him.

I like cassano but the statements he makes as a footbal "expert" are fucken ridiculose....
If we get past porto and finish top 4 we should keep simeone imo
Not like big names are lining up to coach here or that we have the money to pay them.

Pointless. Everyone knows Inzaghi will be around another season. Management should back him fully til then. Everything else like player management and motivation should be handled quietly, in house. Just a udeless distraction. Instead the players, especially lukaku, should be called out publically. Lukaku is playing for his career. Any other top club, his contribution would be unacceptable.

Summit number 403 this season. And nothing will change, exactly like the previous 402.

One thing that also bothers me is how little he trusts young players. I would be even willing to forgive some of his shortcomings if I saw at least one primavera player on the pitch every other game. Both pioli and allegri successfully integrated fagioli and thiaw, or at least they were given some serious minutes, with us there isn't even indication of that. Ffs I think even conte who would legitimately sell his mother for a title had more trust in our younger players than inzaghi.
