What is your point here? With the exception of Ibra, Theo, Kessie and Donna, Milan squad is dogshit too.

Wonders? Lmao gimme a fucking break. He even finished below freaking Torino and Roma, what was the squad excuse back then? Go to Roma and pick me ONE player you would love here at Inter. Lazio has at least 4, 2 of which we could never touch.
Lazio may have 4 decent players but have no balance in the team as most of others are close to trash than to a players required for a top 4 finish. Roma and Milan have much more balanced squad than Lazio. When Indzaghi had a only one game per week, his team was head to head with Jube but then Covid happened and with 3 matches per week, they dropped down to 4th spot. The problem is that the whole team is over relying to few players to carry them throughout all competitions, which cannot happen. And even those players are not investments but a someone's rejects or low cost transfers.

My point is that Inzaghi did well with minimal quality that he had in that squad, and for what it's worth so did Pioli - although in their best seasons both were aided by record amounts of penalties being awarded to them.

Please don't confuse me making this point with me liking Inzaghi, I cannot stand him and I think he can be so cowardly with his game management. One of the few positives he brings is continuation of tactical set up, and his players seem to like him. I desperately hope he can make the step up, but I'm not hopeful.

Serie A should be very interesting next season on paper. Inter getting weaker, while Rube, Atalanta getting stronger. Then we have Spaletti at Napoli, who surely have players suited for his type of football plus Mou at Roma, i dont even know what to expect from that. Very difficult to make predictions, though sadly Rube probably have a slight advantage with Allegri. Sarri at Lazio is another potential great fit.

Could be the most exciting Serie A in decades.
Getting stronger? How?They want to sell C.Ronaldo, their by far best goalscorer in the team. And they don't have money for a star replacement.Their biggest strenght is Allegri now.

And if this fucker somehow managed to win the title that would be so much bigger than Scudetto with Conte. But more likely is that we will be outside of top 4.Zero confidence in this choker.Give him pressure of full Meazza and guy will not last till the February.

I can’t wrap my head around people who are genuinely excited about this guy joining Inter. Do you guys really support Inter? Did you watch any of our recent games with lazio? Pretty much Every time Conte’s Inter played Lazio, we dominated them like little bitches. And even when we didn’t, they still failed to beat us because Inzaghi is the biggest choker out there

Seriously, I don't know why people keep overvaluing or undervaluing coaches. Inzaghi never coached big club like us, so comments of him ''choking'' at Lazio make no sense. He will have time to show his real capabilities next seasons.

For example Zidane had no experience whatsoever and won 3 CL titles Real, while Mourinho who was godlike back then couldn't win at all in 3 consecutive seasons. Barca for around 10 years (somewhere after Guardiola's departure) has no coach at all and they managed to stay in the top. Because of playing philosophy and money never left, add in Messi as well.

If we keep the 80% of our key players even with Inzaghi we can hope to defend the title. The real question is what are we gonna do with transfers this summer and how much it's gonna affect the squad and mentality of the players. We should be worrying about our financials and club owner's plans rather than Inzaghi.

After Allegri, he was probably the best choice: playing mostly the same formation, knows Serie A well enough and managed to win some trophies at Lazio with a lesser of a squad.

I`m gonna trust Marotta again and let Inzaghi take his chance at a big club, backed by proper management and truly valuable team (double compared to Lazio!) of champions.

There were some beautiful attacking play from Lazio (although after years and years of coaching). Did not follow them closely enough to observe those reported subs, but let`s not forget that even Conte did retarded subs, especially in the 1st part of the season. He had very poor squad depth at Lazio, so here he should be a lot happier with is choices and could produce unexpected results.

Do we have a deadline on the poll? Would like to wait the end of the summer market, as a lot of his chances of winning Scudetto depend on it.

It seems that Inzaghi had proven he fully believes in the project by agreeing to not have a bonus in his contract for UEFA Champions League qualification.

I just hope he is not a coward, that`s all! Last thing I want to see is someone like Spalletti playing for 1-0 and ending up in a draw, or even worse, playing for the draw and losing.

Good luck Simone, you gonna need it :eek:blivious:

PHM1605, just wondering who'd be your pick if it wasn't Simone?

I said it multiple times. We should approach Allegri when we almost sealed the Scudetto.

At the very least, Sarri. Especially when we decide to sell our only wingback Hakimi.

Not defending our incompetent Management but they probably didn't know that Conte was gonna leave just like that. I think they did the right thing by hiring Simone instead of wandering what they could have or should have done. While Sarri has definitely been to many bigger clubs and has won a Scudetto, our square fits more to Simone's tactics. To each his own.

Well, you say exactly my point. We should have organized the meeting with Conte WAY BEFORE the season ended. Clarified his future intention asap, and if he wasn't happy, found a new coach immediately. At that time, besides Allegri, there was still Mourinho to choose.

Usually clubs don't do that because it will cause distraction and lose motivation. But that wasn't important in our case. On the other hand, have a look at Pirlo's interview at that time, he knew Juve gonna sack him way before the season ends. Allegri ended up there just because that idiotic Zhang decided to stay in China; all he cared about was loaning, liquidity... and didn't give a shit about our future coach.

Guys, don't get me wrong. I don't hate Inzaghi, he has more likeable characteristics than Conte. I hate the decision of hiring Inzaghi. Two different things.

A bargain-basement Conte with hair.

We should've sounded out De Zerbi beforehand.

And how would we cater for their wage demands?

A lot whinging and nitpicking goin on here like Allegri was some sort of superstar coach at Cagliari (sacked mid season). How about we look at Inzaghi like we would any young player, brimming with potential/talent but room for improvement. In the mean time lets give him time and temper our expectations accordingly. We gave Conte 22-24M for 1 trophy and a top 4 finish in 2 seasons, i'll take a coppa/super coppa and top 4 from Inzaghi with a coke and smile.

Completely different playstyle.
I have a feeling Inzaghi seems to cost less than Da Zerbi and that's one major reason Marotta avoided him.
