My main worry about this guy is, how high up the pitch does he wants this team to be?

The first half of our season last year showed that we just don't have the players for a constant high press, as we just get murdered in transition. Sure, Conte might have been setting the team up wrong, but we're just not pacy enough to recover from losing the ball quickly - even more so with Hakimi gone. Combined with Brozovic's less than stellar defensive positioning, it's just a recipe for disaster.

I would hope to stay the course from the Sassuolo game onwards, and make smaller changes, like focusing play through the midfielders more than the wingers, as we progress. This team is already well set up for Inzaghi IMO, he doesn't need to rock the boat too hard.

Nah, I think it is the reality for coaches that they would lose some players even when the coaches don't want to. For sure, he is already used to that in Lazio. Only certain level of coaches who has veto rights (or think they have veto rights) over a certain transactions no matter what the business perspective. Conte is one of them.

Indzaghi could planned everything in his head but in reality Lukaku just joined to the group couple of days ago. And he is not our best player. One of the best for sure but doesn't top Barella and the defense. Indzaghi will have to adjust the team throughout the season anyway, so it's not so big difference.

He's by far our most impactful player. He's better than barella, sorry, I know he's a complete favourite here but he is. Inzaghi will have been thinking of building the entire attack through him, there's no doubt.
