I’d keep him forever so just I can watch us slap up Gasperini for the rest of his career.

The funniest part about all this is I'm sure there are Conte dick riders here still convinced that if Conte was coaching us we'd somehow be doing better, who are seething and just waiting for the next slip up to say it

Not that I am a Conte dickrider, but I would also like to thank Conte for instilling some champion spirit into this club. We've been in Juve's shadow for so long that it felt poetic that Conte helped Inter get back on their feet (I know, Spalletti deserves some recognition too - it just shows that it's a long process and clearly the Spalletti-Conte-Inzaghi pipeline was the right one)

Conte can suck a dick for not being able to work here without spending

When we are locked in, we are easily the best team in Italy :) enjoy this Inter, it won't last forever. Hopefully Inzaghi becomes our Sir Alex
Not only best team in Italy, but easily among the very best in EU to.
Inzaghi’s football philosophy relies on complete team synergy (players switching positions, midfielders dropping into defense, defense moving in attack,...). The team operates as a fluid unit, and most of Inter’s players characteristics (with some exceptions) fit into his system. I don’t think Inzaghi's philosophy would work in places with 'high-ego's' (for ex Real, Manure,...).
His success is deeply tied to the current structure at Inter, alongside Marotta and the type of players (character wise) Inter recruit.

I would not want conte back , but we should acknowledge his achievement!
I believe we were his stepping stones and he was ours the same , he got us silverware after many years of failed coaches.

Simone for now is doing a more than capable job.

Conte is still a Gobbi shite

His achievement of what?

Needing to spend more money than any other team in the league to win a trophy?

Jube are spending more than everyone and didn't win a shit last few seasons. With Conte, there is a guarantee that the club will be for the fight if the scudetto at least.

I don't understand why people are so against Conte? He came here, we won our first scudetto in so many years, the mentality of the players have improved a lot, we played LE final, we got a massive profit from Lukaku and Hakimi's sales and he left to make a room for a coach, who is more successful for us, at the end.

Many people just mix between emotion and class. Conte being a crybaby and his tactics don't work outside Italy has nothing to do with his level as a league coach.

Fighting Scudetto with that average Napoli squad is a brilliant job. As you said, just look how Juve and Milan spent tons in mercatos but no where near.

Inzaghi is a wet dream for Juve management, they would die to get him in Turin and compete in Serie A and in UCL while playing beautiful goalscoring football too. The worst part is that they could hand him infinite mercato warchest to make his work easier.

Give this guy a new 3 year contract ASAP. And let Giuntoli playing all in poker with his future choices to try to defeat us.

It probably has to do with the fact he left the place when the "project" wasn't there anymore. He threw his toys around already after that first season. Won the Scudetto and could have started a cycle but instead left because probably deep inside he realized he can't pull it off anymore, with CL coming into the play more integrally in club objectives.

In that second season, we went out of CL in December and then won the Scudetto. Latter was great but after that, CL obviously became more important for the club than before. Maybe the guy realized he won't be able to do it, do well in Serie A and CL so he just fucken quit.

I think this quitting mentality is what's bugging people. At least I don't fully respect the man as much anymore. Grateful for building the winning mentality and bringing in the Scudetto but that's about it.

I'm not sure that he could have started a cycle, as some of his former players said that his football was very demanding physically and it is quite difficult to keep the same pace for 2-3 seasons in a row.

For me, his departure was a blessing in a disguise. Inzaghi is maybe a bit worse in the league, but he is so much better in CL, which brings us a lot of money and it is quite important for our financial stability.
His salary is significantly lower as well.

I agree, it was a blessing in disguise, when looking now afterwards. Inzaghi is so much better than Conte for this club which has aspirations to win everything.

And yeah, the fact Conte's football is so demanding and can't be done more than 2-3 seasons speak volumes about his football and methods. If you can do your thing for a short period only, how good you really are?

Yeah but it's a big difference when Jose delivers in Europe too and Conte doesn't.

Mou without CL at Inter and EL at United is what Conte is. And let's not forget he won CL with Porto too.

Otherwise, yes, Mourinho has short cycles too. I prefer Inzaghi, more stability for the club.
