Honestly I think this team needs a smack in the ass. If they cant get up for Monday and take all three points convincingly after being humiliated by an average team it aint happening this year. Obviously the game at the Maradona is the most important left but I think were gonna see if were truly capable of winning the title Monday. I expect Barella or Lautauro to absolutely destroy this team in the locker room. I'm very seldom not mad at a loss but how tf can you even be mad when you play that fucking shit?

I don't understand what was this display. He's got to answer some questions, why did he leave Barella on the bench? Was he resting him for Monday? Always does these retarded rotations without need.

Honestly I'd sack him end of the season if this is the norm of what we'll watch going forward. I can forgive losing a scudetto to a Napoli team led by Conte with no Europe but Inzaghi's teams always crumble and lack character when the stakes are high, this isn't something new.

Don't have one.
Inzaghi has been figured out tactically in Serie A.
Recent trend of teams just defending deep and hitting us on counterattack is worrying, but as long as we look this sluggish, I wouldn't put his tactical ideas at the forefront of why we are losing points in recent times.

And who would you bring instead Limone?

He deserves praise for what he has done the last couple of seasons. For those Copa’s, the CL final and the 20th Scudetto. But 1 Scudetto in 4 years, with this core of players, with the state of our rivals, is just too little. Far too little.

No the circumstances are anything but easy. But I can hardly accept loosing a Scudetto to this Napoli after that Milan in ‘22.

Our squad is not perfect but we have the best core of players in the league and it is not close. We lack pace and creativity but every team lacks something. Most teams many things. His record this year vs big clubs is laughable. The amount of points weve choked away in the league is nauseating. Regardless, his progressive brand of football is beginning to be used against him. Time for some second ideas Limone.

100% true, and this is our only weakness. I really hope Inzaghi find some new formation/instruction for plan b.
Maybe give free role to some player(s). Go through middle more often.
All our moves are predictable through flanks.
Also, Frattesi is by no means starter in his system, only utility player. He is not worth the time he gets on pitch.

On paper we have enough depth in reality we have deadwood and underperformers. One cannot expect to keep rythm fighting on all fronts with the same group of 14-16 odd. It is nearly impossible for players to recover so fast.
It is what it is.

I think the biggest gripe I have with him is the fact that he doesn't know how to manage bad moments in terms of stamina and tiredness, or to be more precise he recognizes it but doesn't do anything about it except just blindly rotate.

How we looked tonight, we needed to play like Mourinho inter against barca. And I don't know if it's just me imagining things, but it seems in the league at least, we played a low block much more often last season than this year. That setup brought us a fuckton of points last season, and it definitely conserves energy more than whatever the tonight attempt of playing football was.

And once again, Simone seems to be struggling against teams that play in a 4-4-2 as base formation.

No way we can play like Mou Inter vs Barca. You need fast players for that. Maicon, Pandev, Etoo.. No, we dont have that.

Anytime that someone actually puts any effort into defending will make it hell for us to score. You need wingers to break that down, which we don't have.

Need fresh legs in midfield to maintain ball possession and also attack spaces when necessary. Need our attackers to move and get themselves into opportunities rather than remain passive and predictable. Our flanks were poor tonight, but as if our wingbacks were the only issue tonight.

Poor coaching is part of the blame, but low ambitions from our management cannot be underestimated. We needed fresh blood in the team, which we didn't get, and the consequences will be shown until the end of season, we cannot survive.

Our midfield was definitely worse, but just saying, wingers are crucial in these situations. It's a fault of formation + individual effort, not just individual effort.

Not saying you're wrong, but you're neglecting the fact that we don't have enough options to begin with. On top of that, we have a psychological issue aswell.

I'm pretty sure having better backups wouldn't put us in such situation, because when you have quality options, it's easier to make good decisions and avoid getting into trouble. Part of our inconsistence has gotten into players' heads, which automatically shakes their morale and of course results will be shown in the pitch.

I was one of the biggest critics towards Inzaghi on his first season, but now situation is different. Like I said, a car doesn't run on thin air. It's freaking hilarious how our management thinks we could fight on both UCL and Serie A at the same time, while core of our team rarely gets the chance to recover, and then rotation options are just facepalm worthy.

I guess the reality will hit them hard. Probably will be too late.

Everyone seem to forget that for a coach its harder every year to motivate your squad. His 4th year. And Inzaghi isnt even great in it. Motivating. Add to the fact the same players were pressed out of juice like oranges a year ago, then add to the management directives and demands that all competitions matter and to top it all off years of buying and spending the last available finances on superdudes like Arna, Correa, Frattesi etc there's a limit in masking your problems.

Like a snowball its been growing and growing. We have actually done brilliantly the last years spending 1/5th of the money Juve has spent and being where we are right now, competing on all fronts and winning trophies aswell.

Oaktree just has to back the coach now. Ausilio and scouts need to get to work . Cannot miss with mercato in the summer.
