Agreed. There's nothing Marotta hates more than firing the coach midseason.
And normally I don’t like it either.

But we have to do something, because there’s a lot at stake right now. We could finish outside the top-6 and we don’t want to know what that’s going to mean.

We didn't have systemic issues per se today. We generated enough chances, tons of chances and good attacks. Lack of good decisions with the ball and then just pure finishing was missing. That's one thing. Can't put that on the coach. That's our players being just fucking idiots all over the place. And Lukaku, man, don't get me started.

But team giving up like this? That's unacceptable. That's partly on the coach too. Players and the coach. That's just unacceptable, in front of the home crowd. They should be ashamed of themselves.
For how long will we fall for "we had chances"?

I can, because it's not only this game. We dominated Jube, Samp, many others and still lost points. There is a big lack of concentration in this group, not only in attack but at defense as well.
For me, this is on the coach.

Yes, the lack of spirit and fighting back is on the coach. But we generate so many chances, good attacks etc. that ruining those is on the players. Ie. our system is not failing but the lack of belief, fight back is failing.

If Inzaghi has lost the locker room he needs to go. I haven't seen many of the players "down tools" rather they don't seem to have any "tools" in the first place. Who could be the interim coach to right the ship to secure a CL spot and advance against Benefica? Probably no one. Think Inter and us fans should be prepared for securing a Europa league spot this season. Then get a new coach, start from scratch, hopefully with new ownership that isn't into "sport washing". The latter, maybe asking too much.

let Chivu manage the squad till the end of the season with main target is getting the EL spot. if we still fail to do so then just be it. most reasonable fans have realized it that Suning had dismantled the squad purposely. we'll have to start from zero next season. low budget and low expectation.

What do you mean? Inzaghi can't come to the pitch and score those goals or pass those decisive passes.
His job isn't to come to the pitch to make passes or goals himself though, his job is to make the players under his disposal to make those passes & goals and not to conceded those passes and goals in their own half.

And make no mistake, I want him gone after this season but what's the replacement if we sack him now?
many good coachs,....top notch
but inter finacial situation is worse than we thought
even free transfers are hard to sign with.

Hopefully now all fans who adore Inzaghi "attacking" football could see that this is a Lazio-level coach.

Jesus Christ people called me an elderly living in the past when I quoted his 5-year record at Lazio as a foreseeable warning.

You mean the 2nd place team? That budget is like a 10th ours?

He needs to be fired but we can’t just sack him until the benfica game we lose that one and yea just fking use a youth team the rest of the year

But we fking ate 5 goals in the 1st half. The players up front need to be held responsible

Under Inzaghi, we can’t defend worth shit and now we suddenly can’t score. Our play is so chaotic too. The entire team will stream forward when we have the ball but when we inevitably give the ball away cheaply, the opposition has a ridiculous amount of room to exploit. We just look broken under him tbh, never mind the easy missed chances that obviously aren’t his fault.

And now 10 losses in the league with 2 months to go. I’ll be shocked if this side doesn’t end up with 13 or 14 losses before it’s all said and done. Getting embarrassed by Juve and Benfica in the Coppa and CL respectively will just be the icing on the worlds worst tasting cake.

From there Marotta would only go for Conte who won't come back, and no one else. So Inzaghi will stay

We went from a coach who left because he wanted to strengthen the squad with more and better players, and replaced him with a coach who won't oppose dismantling the squad. Was anyone really expecting we're heading into a different direction other than this downfall?

Stupid Suning should have sold the team when the teams value was sky high during covid. Now they won't get anywhere near the 1 B asking price. Inzaghi should be held accountable for this years debacle, but it's not all on him.
