I want Napoli to get Benfica so that we get the winner :D
Can't see Milan advancing against anyone. Other than us in a shitty double performance.
I can see them putting out Chel$ea.

Yeah it wasn't pretty. But it was a good game plan. Just suffocate Porto, don't give them space. Meaning don't attack with numbers. And that's how it looked but it is what it is. This is our attacking when we don't get up players there too much. It was more important not to let them counter etc. We conceded that one counter because of Mhki fooling around, other than that, it was mostly slow attacks and crosses by Porto.

In the end it went pretty chaotic but with a little bit of luck, we managed. Great battle!

Winners are not judged, but I'm yet to figure his subs. Anyway, good luck against juve and hope you get us into CL semifinals.

His tactical approach and subs were great this time, but players didn't looked motivated enough, apart from few individuals like Darmian, for example.

I think it’s safe to say that Inzaghi’s best character trait as a manager isn’t motivation. But he somehow gets the job done in cup competitions. Let’s see how this translates to the league. We need to finish strong. Especially for his sake if he wants to remain in charge.

“In the last twelve years, Inter have won one Scudetto, which then caused some financial problems for the team,” he continued.

“In the last eighteen months we’ve won three trophies, the Coppa Italia once and the Supercoppa Italiana twice,” he added.

Sounds like pressure is getting to Limone.
Maybe, but this is my favourite post game he’s given at Inter.

Be fucked off, be petty, be angry towards the ownership. Compact the team behind you and create that “against everyone and everything” mentality.

He's obviously referring to our spending before Scudetto. He isn't wrong but he got advantage of that spending too with the squad he inherited.

I would be genuinely impressed if Inzaghi had what is necessary for that. Everyone can sound dismissive in front of media after a long day but to sustain it 24/7 even when journalists aren't around, to make your squad believe it and to sustain it for days on end for everyone to feed off it... that's not easy. That goes beyond faking a cocky attitude, there is a reason why very few managers ever opt for it.
It's much easier to walk the line of least resistance, it's not like Inzaghi would need to do much rationalization or explaining to justify poor results.

How did he get advantage of that spending?

Only Barella was part of that spending from the championship winning squad, no? And it's not like we wouldn't have signed him anyway.

Btw, I know people talk about the Lukaku sale, but by the end of the season we're going to be at a negative in terms of money spent on the player versus received.

My theory on why Inzaghi is good at cup games is he is really good at the tactical part, and players don't hate him or even like him in general, but they are also not very motivated or professionally disciplined under the influence by Inzaghi, and in cup games players are normally motivated naturally. If Inzaghi had some more professional and self-regulated mature players/individuals that can help regulate the team and other younger players, like Ancelotti's Milan and Madrid, we would be seeing tremendous results.

Conte on the other hand isn't as good tactically, but he can make sure the players give it all (at least in 1-2 seasons, but normally they will have a fall off later, see Chelsea and Spurs, that's why I never think his method is sustainable); so when it is a cup games everyone is motivated already, there isn't much he adds on to.

Also the other merit of Conte, is he forms a structure well and faster in comparison to other coaches; hence when it comes to national team, where the teams are less familiar among themselves, he could bring that kind of advantage.
