Unless he leads us to a deep run in CL (at least semifinals) Inzaghi needs to go at the end of the season. I don't even care about the replacement at this point. His performance in the league is utterly pathetic. It's the same pattern since his Lazio days which continued in his both Inter seasons. Good first round, collapse in second round. I don't know if it's fitness issues, he doesn't rotate enough or his gameplan just doesn't last an entire season. And it doesn't really matter. He's just not good enough, even for this Inter.

I was always in favor of finishing the season with Inzaghi but if he gets eliminated by Porto he needs to go before. I wouldn't fire him today though. I fear it would do more harm than good to our CL chances.

His attacking approach is totally wrong for this team. Our best striker is lautaro, that's all that needs to be said. We need someone who has a much more balanced approach, with even defensive inclinations, where you need one or two goals max. to win, and not count so much on our strikers but more on defensive stability and cohesiveness, which we so far didn't see even for a little bit.

This defensive display is not a single occasion. They were counter us and they had people attacking from behind, not being covered. If Conte was a coach, he would rape those fuckers. Spezia had two attacks, and they hit the post, scored a goal and got a penalty? This is ridiculous actually. Our defending is beyond awful. And this is not a single game, as I've said. There is a trend here and looks like a coach thing to me. We didn't have those issues under Conte or even Spalletti.

But this is bound to fail without a pacy back line or defensive Specialist in midfield. So it's a personnel problem. However, if our strikers score, Inzaghis tactic works.
