Looks like make or break big situation to Inzaghi, similar to Allegri from Cagliari to Milan. It also makes me remember not many coaches having successful comeback to previous club, comparing to 1st times. Does this time would be different to Allegri ?

Don't have one.
No idea as the moves at Lazio were mostly made by Tare. I don't think he will have a big influence in the market. Beppe will mostly call the shots. The only thing i know about Inzaghi is he likes giving freedom to the wide midfielders so don't be surprised if Barella and Eriksen (if they're still here) end up with good numbers of goals and assists. Oh. And he likes Gagliardini. :D

I am mostly worried about defence under Inzaghi. I think our attack will do well (if we don't dismantle the team).

Regarding the defense it would be good if he could keep our counterattacking football somehow. I m afraid if we just play his standard chaotic press we would be dead come the second part of the season. And mind you we ain't got pintus anymore as well.

Didn't Lazio play 3-5-1-1 often? I'm wondering if he would do that here as well. Eriksen behind the striker and someone else behind him beside barella.

we might sell one of Lukaku-Lautaro anyway, so he might play his little 3-5-1-1

Or Lippi from Napoli to Juventus. Or Conte from Sienna to Juventus. Or Zacherroni from Udinese to Milan. Or Klopp from Mainz to Dortmund. There are a lot of fucking exemples.
We just talk about fucking winning mentality. Ok, give him a proper roster and we will see if he has a winning mentality or not. He won 3 trophies with Lazio. In the last years he was probably the coach who made the most problems to Juventus

This guy is doing something that I could never, so he has my respect.

Hope the club and team gives him all the support he needs; here's to hopefully many successes together 🍻

Coach comebacks are actually a tradition for Juve. Both Trapattoni and Lippi had two spells there.

He'll be fine as long as we don't do anything disastrous with the roster.

Massive amounts of copium being smoked in this thread, but I get it.

Simone is a good coach. He brought Lazio to their maximum level with what he had at his disposal and even won some trophies.

But he's not elite. He's certainly not a top shelf coach like Conte was (at least domestically). And weakening the team when we've just won for the first time in ages is never going to feel good.

I think given the situation, he's one of the better options available, but it's a downgrade; you can't sugar coat it.

At least the squad is already set up to play 3 ATB and he won't throw tantrums when we can't get a player he wants. Still, I question his in-game management.

He was able to do a lot with limited resources at Lazio and I hope he can do the same here. It doesn't thrill me but I get the decision given the circumstances.

If he cried about the referees at Lazio, at Inter he'll have a heart attack within weeks.

Going to knockout stages in CL will do it. Something that Cunte in Inter could only dream.
Okay. I'd take winning the scudetto over making it to KO's just to get torn by the likes of Bayern

No, Champions league round of 16 is the ultimate success. Forget scudetto, means nothing.

Well if you go into a game, with a mentality of being torn by someone, just cause they are better on paper, then why even play. Just retire. I fucking hate this pussy mentality.

True, let's not forget that not even Inter won 3 trophies in this last 5 years. And Inzaghi did that with fucking Lazio :yao:

I remember suggesting conte or inezghi to replace spalletti back in the days

I think he’s gonna do a good job if we do not sell the team’s stars

Also Lutito must really hate inter now :awyeah:

Cautiously optimistic about this signing, glad we didn’t let it drag out too far.

Big benefit is that he plays a similar system to Conte, and our team is built for that. Hopefully we don’t make any big major sales.

The only thing I question is why we didn’t go after Pocchetino, is Tottenham really a more attractive destination than Inter?
