What everyone is talking that they would want to put the deadline before the season starts. But obviously that would need a collective decision, maybe at least among the top 5 leagues.

But would definitely help the coaches all around when they actually know their team when the season starts and management teams and agents all around would need to work for real during the July and early August to do the necessary deals.

Serie A teams preferred spending on fees rather than handing out large salaries in the most recent window. The overall tally is similar to the past season: 1,06B, Calcio e Finanza reports.

After 11 years, Juventus no longer have the largest wages-bill in the Peninsula thanks to their several departures. Inter are at the top with €141,7M gross following their Bosman additions and pricey renewals. The only other team above the nine-digit threshold is Milan (€104,3M).

The usual suspects follow the top Serie A trio: Roma (nearly €90M) and Napoli (€82,9). Lazio are in sixth place but quite distant (€68,2). Fiorentina (€61,6M) precede Atalanta (€59,2) by about €2.5M. Torino are next. The biggest surprise in the list is Como, which lands in 10th place in their first season in the top flight in ages. They’ll shell out €38.1M after their lavish summer, even more than Bologna (€36,1M), which will participate in the Champions League.

Inter and Milan increased their personnel cost by about €16%, and Napoli did it by 15,5% despite shedding their biggest salary, Victor Osimhen’s, which accounted for €13,1M gross on its own. Roma were busy making moves but also trimmed a lot of fat, registering a 17% decrease. Lazio went in the same direction with a minus 10 percent. Genoa, Cagliari, Empoli, and Verona also followed the trend. The Scaligeri nearly sliced their payroll in half. Bologna made the biggest jump in Serie A percentage-wise (€23,6%). Instead, the Scudetto winners and La Dea did it in terms of amount of money, €20M and €10M respectively

Look at this way. We have only 20M€ net bigger wage than Milan, but we are about to slap them 7th record time in 10 days and won a 20th scudetto in Madoninna derby which has happened never.

I`d choose our situation any day of the week.

also significantly older... than Milan.they said Milan is 104m we are 141... that 37.4m more in wages per season.... luckily Correa, Arna and a few others who contracts end at the end of the season will help lower that but they still need to be replaced Bisseck will need a big bump in pay and our new Starting Center CB wont be cheap tho Bastoni played that role in Italy maybe we can put him there here

Yes, as I understand it, Leao bonuses are also high just to keep wages in line with their policy.

That said, we could also run into the same issue. To be more specific, Sommer, Pavard and Thuram will affect our overall wage bill.

We've benefited a lot from this season because we've been able to take advantage of the growth decree for Pavard and Sommer, who we got them quite late last season.

Despite the 15% increase in wage gross this season as we sealed off some priority contract renewals, this growth decree policy has helped us maintain control of our wage gross.

It's also worth mentioning that this season our amortisation has decreased 21% compared to last season.

They do not understand, purely based on how they've acted here. First they hire some outside name of any Italian game to be the CEO of the club. They hire De Rosis, a club legend to be a caretaker coach, and then give him a 3-year extension in the summer but give this CEO free reign to handle the business, including the mercato. Also based on the rumors this CEO starts handling how the squad should be managed (as I've explained earlier) and the rift between the CEO and the coach boils to a point where the club legend needs to be fired / resigns.

Fans are revolting because how the club has treated a club legend. Now Friedkins have escaped to America because they can't stand the heat.

I'm not claiming something is so great about how Roma works, I'm claiming this is how Roma and Rome, the city, the fans, work. Some Americans don't change that. Specially not the way they've seemingly tried.

Several sources in Spain reported on Tuesday that Barcelona had targeted ex-Juventus keeper Szczesny to replace the injured Marc-André ter Stegen, who has been ruled out for at least eight months.

Szczesny announced his retirement in August after terminating his contract with Juventus, but according to Relevo, Barcelona have persuaded the ex-Poland international to reconsider his decision.

Sky Sport Italia report that among the spectators were Oumar Solet and his family, having been invited to tour the facilities and see if they want to join the club.

The rapport broke down and his contract was terminated by mutual consent on September 14.

However, Sky Sport Italia also warn that as per the terms of that agreement, the player cannot sign for a new club until the January transfer window opens.

Udinese are hoping they have done enough to convince him that his career should continue in Serie A under coach Kosta Runjaic.

He had also been linked with Inter and Napoli in recent months.
