At the end one might work out well and turn out to be a bargain (like Pulisic). But the rest is simply not good enough for top tier. Then Milan sell on discount to fund new 20m-ish, rinse and repeat.

Not really. We are buying a bunch of kids, for the future, and invest heavily on one (Frattesi). And unlike them, we don't have salary cap for two new proven players.

Milan buy too many with more or less the same level (+ age, salary, price - all things considered). No one is really an upgrade over another.

Yeah, it reminds me of the strategy both milan clubs had during our shared banter era. Just an endless conveyor of 15-20 mil players that range from straight flops to kinda sort of good but not in a way you can fight for titles.

We only managed to break that cycle by investing heavily into our current italian core, mainly bastoni and barella and also with super smart scouting and tactical continuity which you get when you don't change coaches all the time.

Now we only have Dumfries and Darmian, making our right side a bit boring in attack. Both can score an odd goal here and there, but they absolutely ain't a menace on the wing like Dimarco
