How I miss the golden goal. With that at least the better team prevailed. Why was something like that ever changed to a lottery anyway? Only in FIFA...

Perhaps Argentina pulls another '78, buying the game in addition to using dope to (still barely) win the final.

 I find the bold funny considering you have Robben
Really, dude? LOL what a retarded comment.

Find me clips of all the dives he made.  !

just watch again the Mexico game, he admitted diving in one, and the last one even if there was a slight contact he exaggerated it.

Certainly a difficult game to get through at a very early time of the morning (over here). It really seemed like they really could have played another 90 minutes and neither team would have scored. Argentina didn't press too high and stayed compact to deny Robben space, which worked for the most part. Why Van Gaal thought it would be a good idea to bring on a waste of space like Huntelaar is a mystery to me... Might as well have played Krul up front.

I have a feeling Messi played with an injury that we don't know about.

Palacio never takes penalties though. Also, he never scores apparently. Missed a fkn easy chance in extra time.

So Netherlands are out because Van Persie couldn't hack another 20 minutes and as I've been saying all tournament, Cillessen is a fucking dud. He looks (not just performance-wise, but appearance-wise too) like a frail and timid little bitch. He never believed for a second that he could save any of those penalties.
I am surprized the coach didn't replace him before the penalties shootout.

Yeah he dived twice. Woooow...

Before and after that he made 0 dives and today he was fouled a billion times by a team that dived constantly and you still manage to bring this up.

He was even as gentle as to apologize, ever seen a barca player do that? Though that was also a mistake, it gave people the ground to shit on him. But calling Robben a diver is so extremely ignorant and stupid...

And WTF was that shit with Vlaar taking the penalty. When I saw he was gonna take it I knew we had lost. And WTF Sneijder... He might as well have pointed to the corner he was gonna shoot in before shooting at all. Penalty syndrome never fades after all, I guess...

Still couldn't believe Van Gaal didn't sub RVP out earlier with the sickness. He had to wait until ET and use a sub on someone else in regulation. what the hell?

It is like he wanted Argentina to win.

Dives this WC, mate...

Of course he was a huge ass diver before, but he managed to unlearn that bad habit. He only couldn't let himself twice vs Mexico, which is why he wanted to apologize so much. Not that he literally did though, he said "I shouldn't have done that" but media like to exaggerate.

Imagine a Messi or Busquits quitting the diving, let alone regretting doing it  Those are the worst divers in history of world football.

On the bright side, your next world cup team most likely won't have Sneider, Robben or Van Gaal.

Pretty boring. I alternated watching with playing guitar, masturbating and daydreaming about an Inter that didn't have Mazzarri as it's manager. How Argentina made it to the WC Finals with a midfield trio of Mascherano, Biglia and Perez, I'll never know. Defense and GK'ing is quite stout though. They also missed Di Maria. Such an underrated player for club and country IMO

I'm glad to hear you've joined the 'playing guitar and masturbating' group.

Glad holland is out. Scumbag diving Robben is out. Dude has taken over from busquets as worst in the world. Guaranteed diving every single game. Their CBs somehow escape cards every game. Don't get it. Some real bad ones this game (there was a ridiculous obvious one in the 2nd half by vlar on messi....ref waves play on but never goes back to card the player). Plus all of the shenanigans by their GKs during pks. And selling out on their style to "win".....well, you didn't win so what now?

Ohh....messi still on his walking around shit
If argentina win this thing, I really hope they don't take about messi "leading" them to the title like maradona. Shit easy group and simply lethargic performances by messi throughout. Dude only has slightly more distance covered than Fred ffs....

I'd say that's harsh. Messi is the only reason they even made it past the group stage. Aguero was trash, Higuain did fucking nothing, as expected, Palacio was an impactless impact sub and Lavezzi seemed pretty ordinary too. From their forward line, only Di Maria played consistently well, but it was Messi who scored the goals which carried them through. Their defense was surprisingly solid too.

IMO Netherlands did really well considering the group they were in and also their squad. RVP was half fit before the start of the WC and was again injured. Strootman was their main CM so they had to change their whole tactics to cover up the midfield weakness. Their squad is full of average player and past it players except RVP and Robben. Sneijder to an extent but no more than that.

LVG deserves credit though. Their main CB is Vlaar who plays for Villa and not even their best player and yet they conceded only 3 goals in group stages and 1 in KOs, that's great record considering they played 120 mins against Costa Rica and Argentina and 2 were controversial penalties.

Also Vlaar, De Vrij deserves credit for stepping up big time. Both had amazing world cup.

What?! Mascherano is hands down the best DM in the tourny so far, holds Argie's defense like a boss, and had another great performance yesterday (If we could get him for cheap, do it!). But as for the other two, yeah, I don't know who the fuck they are.

I hate watching Messi walk there most of the game. Is he so low on stamina that he needs to walk to save energy for those then sprints he makes in a game? Or why is he saving the energy? It's semi-final in the fucking World Cup!

How much more chances could Argentina get if Messi just moved a little more when he's not having a ball? Netherlands doubled Messi so little more movement and other Argies would have had more space to do things. Messi has led Argentina from easy group stage to playoffs and that's it. After that he's just walked and run only when he has the ball.
