I'm wondering now that we know that they've been watching... are people still high on Harry Kane?

Yes, I'm still high on one the Premier League's and World Cup's leading scorer. It's also proven foolish to evaluate club players based on WC performances, as you know

I loved understanding between Rakitic, Modric, and Brozovic. Those simple passes what are making difference, can’t wait to see Radja, Brozovic, and one more guy? to do the same.

Happy to see that a Brozovic is definitely on that level.

Don't expect too much, outstanding WC players will always translate to retarded inconsistent club players.

a World Cup's leading scorer who scored 5 out of 6 goals against Panama and Tunisia while the other goal was a penalty.

Grizemann has 3 World Cup goals, 2 of them are penalties. Once again, using the WC to evaluate players is pointless.

It's not really an evaluation. Most people have been saying that Kane is god just because there was a hype. Now they had the chance to actually watch him play. I don't think anyone has been impressed by him. Most underwhelming top scorer ever. The first top scorer to not score with an actual shot in open play. Klose had 5 headed goals in his first World Cup in 2002 but a) he wasn't the top scorer and b) they weren't from set pieces.

He's had 3 games to prove himself and he's done nothing really. Everyone was like "he gets involved". Don't think we really saw that. He's has like 10+ attempts on goal in open play, still no goals. Some were sitters as well.

Also, you calling him the "World Cup's leading scorer" means you give him credit for something here.

Grizemann has 3 World Cup goals, 2 of them are penalties. Once again, using the WC to evaluate players is pointless.

No one said that Griezmann is the best striker in the world. He's a very talented forward, that's pretty much all you'll hear. At least from people who say Kane isn't worth the hype.

the thing about forwards in the world cup is that you can't be in the same kind of shape for seven matches. kane definitely picked the wrong time to score, so to speak.

in 1982 paolo rossi only scored in the last three matches, so he was decisive (hat trick against brazil!!) and in the end was the top scorer, too.

Except Ronaldo 2002.

He only missed out on England in QF.

The exact same they've been saying every tournament.

""Hahaha it was just banter, we never really thought it was coming home""

Rinse and repeat.

Completely agree with Roy Keane.

This morning I spoke to an English supporter. He told me how happy he is that France won against Belgium because he thinks England would have better chance against France. I told him that there is Croatia to face first before France. He then told me that Croatia is weak on defending set pieces and England has been amazing in set pieces. I reminded him that Croatia has one of the best midfield, if not the best, in the tournament. Croatia's midfield is probably the most creative of all. He dismissed me by saying, "yeah, we can handle that." LOL. Can't wait to see him at work.

Going through the Twitter shitetalk of Tottenham fans talking about how Kane would deal with Lloris was funny as fuck. Off home you go, scrubs.

Another funny banter today was about how Croatia will be tired. Another England supporter said so to me. I replied just like one of my posts here, England has only played 30 minutes less than Croatia. He then told me that Croatia won't have the stamina because England players are fast.

England ran out of petrol to the ground way before Croatia and even had to play 10 men in the end because 4 subs were not enough. LOL.
