I am half way through the Fiorentina Game, but he really reminds me classical Italian SS except he still needs bit more the refinement. (e.g. be aware all the time, more understanding to be more precise etc.)
For him to be a starter already speaks a lot for itself.
He actually hustles a lot in pressing, very high defensive work rate for a forward.
In transaction, the team trusts him quite a bit to land the ball on him, and he makes good play most of the time, either it is a one touch forward passing, or dribble and retain possession. He also knows how to make himself available good.

It proves he has a good understanding, all he needs is the head down work hard attitude; thing with him is he is talented but not as talented as his attitude is showing, like he ain't no Cassano, as long as he accepts he needs to work and learn more, he really will be something.

If he keeps up the way he plays, there is no way he is only 5M at the end of this season.

He's lost for us but I'm sure if it came to it we'd have a way

That being said he is 22 already, id rather be betting on people like his brother

:palm:The more games I watch this dude, the more shitty it feels to lose him; it is almost not a prospect thing or not anymore, his style is basically a good fit for our current system with 2 strikers. Also not all strikers are good for our 2 strikers system, like I don't think Retegui, Jović will fit well here, without adjusting the tactics.
The Lazio game feels very experimental to put him as the main striker, which is very weird like putting Del Piero as the main striker and a winger type next to him, not that is not doable cause he still somehow got a goal, but the team was less of a threat due to the lower in the creativity department, especially for Empoli.

Inter trained him well, his technique is very good, but what makes him stand out among the others, is he knows how and when to apply them.

I cannot wait to see what he will become at the end of this season.

Even if you don't watch his games, his stats is basically screaming traditional false nine (9.5) player

and to put things into prospect this is Thuram's stat, not a direct comparison, cause different total minutes and types of competition and opponents etc., but for referencing.

Could be his break-out season. A bit soon to state so, but i hear he’s playing some really good football.

Still early offcourse. But can we make a comparison with Zirkzee here? He had his true break-out season at the age of 22. Same age as Esposito has now. It never was an issue about talent with Seba, he never showed he was able to work hard next to it. Would be nice if he made a switch in that mentality. Sadly we don’t own him anymore.

We don`t own him anymore? Because on transfermarkt he is still an Inter player loaned to Empoli. It would be a shame. Even if we know Inter don`t give a shit on home grown talent.

If I’m not mistaken Empoli has an option to buy for 5 mln, and we have no buy-back in that case. If he’s developing like he does now for the whole season, that option to buy is a no-brainer.

In the case they use the option, we'll have 20% resale clause. That is just to generate a bit more money later in the future in case he develops more and is getting sold to the next location from Empoli.

People need to chill. He's performing at a bottom/mid Serie A level. He will need to significantly improve for a serious role at a top club to be a consideration.

Ofc he flourishes the moment we give up on him. Watch him end up at a rival
it's not the first time Inter lost such a best talent. Inter just need to find another best talent over there to replace him, Correa, and Arnatovic.

It's good that he's back on track with his career.
Let's say he reaches the 20m mark and Empoli decides to sell him, we'd then get 5m plus a 4m bonus from the 20% resale clause.
While a 9m plusvalenza might seem modest, the management might think otherwise.

It's worth noting that this is Esposito's 7th loan spell, which allegedly involved some attitude issues.
It might be a bit unfair to say that the club haven't been patient enough.
I wonder if the penalty he scored after Lukaku gave him the ball when he was 17 might have contributed to his subsequent confidence.

However, we might still have some chance over Esposito despite the buyout option clause, as we seem to have a good relationship with Empoli.
Plus, we are not fully aware of the contract's details, only the resale clause.

We also loaned them our two young strikers previously, and Pinamonti did really well, scoring 13 goals. Then there's Satriano, who scored only 2 goals but was pretty much a regular in their starting lineup. Empoli didn't buy either of them.
Asllani is another example. They let him join us on loan with an option to buy clause.

This is well said. If Esposito does really make it then there are ways we could bring him back if we want to. A middling Serie A striker though, is not worth bringing back. And 2 in 7 for Empolindoesnt mean he's "made it" yet.
