He's like a copy of Di Maria to be honest. Quick and skillful.

Who cares about the diving right now in our situation?

Awesome we got a cross between Messi and Di Maria for free. We are on top of the world. Nobody can catch us.

do not understand how can we find him for free but buy shitty players for 5-12 mil :genius:

but okay, we don't really know how good will he be, let's just hope we won't lose our minds and that we will have a coach that will not fuck him and leave him on the bench for Schelotto

his second goal

what if I show you a video of jonathan scoring that goal, what would your impression of him be

No matter how talented he is, he is definitely going to struggle in Serie A.

I don't want to pessimistic, but I'll think he'll be an extremely inconsistent player. Some times very good, other anonymous. At least initially, but let's how he copes later on.

I think you just described 85% of unproven South American players when moving to a big league.

I think we should all be stoked that we actually signed someone with obvious talent rather than a Schelotto or a Rocchi. A talent of which seemingly does't have any physical deficiencies ala Coutinho or Alvarez.

How many times have you watched him play? Forget the stats and youtube videos just tell me how many times have you watched and what are his strengths and weakness as you are judging him and even predicting how he will play in Serie A.

IIRC, you never watched him and only went by how many starts he had in the league.

First I was like: Well I don't give a fuck that we get a 23 old Argentinian for free, but now I'm like: Holy shit, this dude can finally be our new trequarista, who distributes the balls and Guaro + Kova can finally cover up the CM positions. We just need a good DM behind them and I would be finally happy :eek:blivious: - at least concerning the starting-midfield-players

May the pressure on him ruin his career in europe :eek:blivious:

Comparing himself to Messi :yao:

Well he sure has confidence, I'm liking that.

SOunds like the type of guy that will be determined to make an immediate impact.

IHe compaired himself to Messi for his playing style, not quality.

When the media compared him to Lavezzi, he said: "Not at all. Il Pocho is great player, but he bases his game on strength and pace, while i base mine on technique and creativity, like Messi and Di Maria."

dont expect botta to organize our game from a trequartista position. he is an absolutely perfect fit for 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 on either wing. he can beat his man easily, decent pace, and a good shot
