Trust me on this. I knew Juan was going to turn out great. I was having an aneryusm when Stramanieri didnt play him when he came. Same with Kova. Same with Cou succeeding in Premier League. I was right about Schelotto and Rocchi (although most people were too ).

I have a pretty good track record on predicting players' future ;).

Im saying the Argentine league mostly produces good strikers. All decent Argentinian midfielders left at a young age. If he has like 2 assists in 8 games or whatever, in a way weaker league, he's not all of a sudden going to start producing assists out of nowhere. I'd rather just stick with Cassano.

Wow...who would of guessed that Kovačić, who had been long before we got him rated as one of the most talented midfielder in the world and Juan Jesus who already was turning heads in Brazil and gathering interest from some of Europe's best teams, turn out to be valuable part of our team and future.

And if you didn't notice, then half of this forum went on the rage mode and wanted the heads of Branca and Strama after we sold Coutinho. I don't think everyone was so mad, because Cou was just and average player. We all knew what he is capable of.

The stats dont lie. People were ripping on me for saying Schelotto has 1 assist 0 goals in 15-16 games. Look how that turned out.

If this guy has bad stats in Argie league, what gives hope he'll do better in Serie A?

Stats only tell half the story, if that. I am just curious, have you even seen Botta play before judging him?

So whats the other half of the story of Botta besides his crap stats?

Probably just some excuses to defend his piss poor stats.

Im not against him btw, I love our acquisition of the nuovo Messi, as they say in Argentina. Im all for getting skillful and tricky player, just like how I anticipated Quaresma, who was touted as the new Figo by Figo himself personally.

Botta will give us the much needed pace and width, but I hope we will still look for at least one more wide attacker for the first team.

Everyone with just a small amount of talent is the new Messi in Argentina.

--------

If his stats are shit in a way weaker league, and people think he's worthy of playing here, then he must be juggling dolphins over rings of fire or something in the field.

That's the age of agents I guess.

I would rather trust a proffesional scout who has seen him play, thank you.

Meh. He's free, has potential and his wages will really be nothing. If he doesn't turn out anything special, not a huge loss. This is what our 70 scouts in Argentina get paid for.

Since when people make judgments based just on stats? it doesn't make any sense, neither makes sense trash talking when you haven't seen him play, like, c'mon guys, think about this, there's no risk in this fucking transfer: young, enormous talent and HE CAME FOR FREE.

In the WOOOOORST case, we'll make an small profit with his eventual sell, but that won't happen, I think he will succeed here.

You mean the same one who scouted Alvarez, aka the Argentine Kaka?

If that's the same one, he has my trust too!

I meant Angeloni, guy who scouted sanchez, isla (?). And even so, I still trust the guy who scouted alvarez more than some guy on the internet.

He wasnt part of our scouting network then. He is part of it since april or may 2012. :)

Ahh, thanks for pointing that out.

And even so, I still trust the guy who scouted alvarez more than some guy on the internet.

It's good to know failure does not deteriorate the faith of our fans in our scouts.

I hope the same attitude is shown towards our players, in particularly Jonathan, Alvarez, Schelotto, and Rocchi.
