Haha, a hurt Crzd. Go cry in a corner with your american shit teams and predictions, while Oranje's performances with the glorious Robben fuck you up and knock american teams out time after time after time. :proud:

He dived like 2 times, btw. Nearly every player of Colombia did it more.

Anyways, cryers will cry. NL won so deservedly today, it hasn't been more clear in any game this WC.

Expect Belgium vs USA mate

Just realized Costa Rica conceded 2 goals in 5 games against Italy, Uruguay, Greece, England, Netherlands. 2 of these games with an extra 30 minutes.

Extremely lucky or great organization or both?

I quit watching the game after the regular time but definitely they were lucky to not concede a goal at least, especially in the late mins of the game Holland created few amazing chances, couple of ones which were wasted by RvP. Kudos to them for their achievement, it was nice display by Costa Rica in this WC.

Before Bryan Ruiz was going to take his penalty, Tim Krul said something to him on the field.

"I know in which corner you are going to shoot," he said.

Seconds later he stops his penalty. :slick:

It's Navas ;) One of the most underrated GKs in the world atm. The guy has been one of top GKs in the big leagues for years now. Shame he doesnt play in big team. Hopefully Atletico moves for him, and not for Oblak or some sort.

In the group stages it seemed like great organization. Imo CR got lucky against Greece after the red card and against the Netherlands. They couldn't really deal with the extreme width, but Navas put in some amazing performances.

Yeah, days before this game started Van Gaal took Krul apart and they watched, analyzed and studied Costa Ricas penalty series and the way their players take penalties in general. Krul knew all their tactics and in which corner they would shoot for 90% certain. He was not even bsing around when he said to the Costa Ricans that he knew which corner they would take.

And besides saying that, he did a lot of other stuff to intimidate and discourage them as well, like pointing at his eyes while staring into a CR players' face right before he was gonna shoot, implying again that he was gonna know which corner he would take and messing his head up in the most crucial moment; hopping around as if he was completely relaxed & had it all under control, discouraging the opponent; stretching out and grabbing the bar just to show how fucking huge he is and his body alone already covers a great deal of the goal... and much more.

All Van Gaal's tactics for psychological war and they worked  that guy is so fucking sick... he even changed my mind since he proved that there actually is a way to train/prepare for penalties and have an advantage, while I was always certain it's a completely random lottery. Hell, even Mou probably doesn't come close to this asshole.

I hope we won't need Krul's services again to win, though.

I think Van Gaal has been using Krul like that since the beginning of the tournament. And it's hilarious how pretty much all media, including live commentators everywhere that day, called the sub "unorthodox". That was a "HOLY" shit superb sub. Also funny how they try to blame the guy for "trash" talking the CR players, it being unsporty behaviour and whatnot.

Tim Krul's not even a PK specialist, is he? LvG just psyched the Costa Ricans into thinking he was. Brilliant stuff.

He actually is. I remember him getting reward of best GK of a youth tournament (dont remember which), just because he was excellent at pelanties.

Pretty sure Handonovic is actually better PK saver on the reg, however Krul is good to and really showed how to step up in a penalty kick shootout.
