Penalty or not, Marquez didn't need to do that. He's our most veteran player and looked like a noob with that mistake. Robben was surrounded by 3 players and already lost the ball so he decided to dive when he felt the contact. Penalty? Probably, a very harsh one, but could had been avoided.

Mexico lost the game when they decided to park the bus instead of keeping possession like they were doing. Gio substitution also affected our attack and we lost our chances to score more goals. Aquino should had substituted Peralta not Gio. Oh well...

You should tell your coach to see a psychiatrist. He's like a combination of Jorge Jesus, Antonio Conte and L.F. Scolari and that isn't a compliment.

Robben definitely milked it but that doesn't change the fact that Marquez made a late and clumsy tackle that was nowhere near the ball.

lol yeah he's a bit crazy but he did an excellent job. After the horrible performance in the last year with other coaches he took the team and made them competitive again, this was a very different Mexico than in the qualifiers, who nobody expected them to even beat Croatia or Cameroon. I hope he stays in charge until the next World Cup at least.

All defenders of this crap (especially the dutch folks here) should be ashamed of themselves. It's ok when you do it but unacceptable when you experience it?

Here: http://forzainterforums.com/showthread.php?7861-Final-Holland-Spain

Wasn't so cool then huh? But it's ok today.....Lost all respect for each and everyone of you.

Concerning the penalty it wasn't a dive. Robben dived an other time, but he admitted that, apologizing and saying it was stupid. Classy.

So no, i am not at all ashamed.

There was contact, so penalty for sure. But Robben did make a massive meal out of it. The diving was beyond disgrace.

Aside from all that though, Robben was fucking immense in this match, and in the tournament, and this season, and most seasons prior to this. Every time he gets the ball, you can sense trouble for the opposition. What a fucking player!

I love Holland, great team. With Italy out, I wish they win the WC but I also acknowledge that Robben is a cunt. A great player, but a cunt. & to be frank, I can't even understand how an intelligent player like him can be so stupid. He thinks nobody notices.

Yes there was contact, it was a penalty, but do you really need to stretch your arms in the air like that & fall as if you've been run over by a massive truck?

Be as good & as decisive as you want, but you will never be loved by everyone if you lack character. The reason why Zidane is the best there is in the book. Because he was the best in both the game & character.

Tbh for a few years ago, Robben was a far bigger cunt. Almost everyone in our country disliked him back then (not me, i always admired him). Today it's completely different. He dives sometimes, that's true, but not as much as he used to do. Moreover he hasn't the image of a crying baby anymore, he's become much more sympathetic over the years.

And the most important thing: he is by far the absolute star player of this Oranje.

How did Sneijder get MOTM over Robben from that newspaper? I wish I read Italian to know how they came up with that.

Many players from the diseased Barcelona team we've seen in recent years were admired like gods, but were the biggest divers in the world.

Robben dives very rarely these days, now it happened a few times and he got a penalty and everyone is making a fuss about it, even though the penalty was really a penalty. He just tricked the guy into fouling him, a bit like Cassano usually does - it can actually be seen as another skill. Some people are hypocrites.

Robben in the last 3 years except for a final here and there is totally in godly mode - he is predictable, and yet, he is not.

no point in debating this on an Inter forum where they don't even watch Bayern games
