I kinda force these storylines in my head, but damn I love moments like these. Passing the torch:

Mbappe is the real best player of the world.

Maybe if he wins the World Cup and Plays like today

Argentina had no MF,FWs or Defenders

As for Portugal too difficult for 1 person to beat a team by himself especially one with arguably the best two strikers and CBs in the cup.

I'll be afraid of Argentina after Messi has retired. That's when they will start to click...

Why? Having shitty midfield and shittier defence is not World Cup worthy. Until they have at least 6 world class players in top form playing in their First11, they have no chance.

And not that some of the other teams have so much better players, to me England is barely any better than Argentina at this moment.

Argentina is a loooooooooooooooong way from Uruguay, France and Brazil, the top3 teams to beat right now (of those that still play in this WC). Also Croatia are the ones who can still surprise.

Does Uruguay have 6 world class players in first 11?

I hope we are not counting Vecino and Laxalt here.

Well, close - Cavani, Suarez, Godin, Gimenez and Muslera are world class in this form. Bentacour and Torreira are so-so, Vecino good in defence, very Interesque in attack.

Some world class players in Argie NT aren't near their form right now. Also managed by incompetence doesn't help.

Still unable to train Wednesday, he's probably out. Definitely not starting.

South American teams have been less lucky with injuries.
