First half was a snooze fest, second half was nice. It was fun to watch as a neutral, kinda wish it wasn't Lautaro shitting the bed 3 times in a row.

Goddamn, Messi is THAT guy.

What a finale. I’d rather Argentina to go all the way and win it but they do no not look very convincing tbh. Messi will have to channel everything he has left in him to carry them.

Lautaro will some shocking misses. Give your head a shake son. He’ll be lucky to get any minutes going forward.

Well, the Socceroos gave it their all, well done. Probably would have advanced too if it wasn't for the opponents having Messi.

I was afraid some fucked up shit is gonna happen in the last minute. Furtunately Emiliano Martinez made up for Lautaro Martinez fuck ups.

Lautaro tho :palm:
When does this guy ever learn? He's lucky his misses didn't cost Argentina. The fans were going to eat him alive if that happened.

Apart from individual Messi class Argentina were horrible. If the Dutch defense can dismantle Messi, which isn't too unlikely considering some of the names it includes, I feel Argentina are going to have a very, very rough time next Friday.

Acuna was good, Martinez in goal too, but yeah, this Argentina looks very low energy (also small)

I just don’t see where the creativity is gonna come from if not Messi himself. Their midfield is ok on paper but they’re all the same B2B mids. Di Maria is hurt and older. Dybala is always hurt.

I could see the Netherlands frustrating the shit out of them.

Agreed with all of this. But Netherlands have their own issues too. I think it's gonna be a boring game

Seeing people here giving up on Lautaro is seriously beyond embarrassing.

Nobody is giving up on Lautaro... but I do feel that he plateaued and he won't really ever become a world class striker. He has been off in about half of the big games he played for Inter and Argentina and I'm wondering if it's mental or if it's his slowness
