So why are you still suporting this sinkin ship? Support Psg, city, there is plenty of rich clubs with phenomenal enviroment. I support Inter, and I will never stand for any footballer that abandon this club, dont give a fuck in what condition, enviroment it is. Lukaku wanted to go, Suning wouldnt let him if he didnt want to leave. He was not forced out,end of story. He is cunt for me, just like Ibra.
We're fans. Lukaku is a professional who has a very limited income earning window.

You're kidding yourself if you believe anyone in this squad wouldn't do the exact same thing; the difference is no one wants the rest of our garbage.

The only three players who would refuse such offers are the Italian players and Handanovic. Actually, I'll add Skriniar to this list too.

So to be clear, you would turn down a job that significantly raised your salary while removing you from a toxic environment/sinking ship? Got it.

No, but there is nothing legendary from taking such offers. Not LGI.

And so far I havent seen any toxicity in the club other than the fans.

I'm completely fine with the argument that he's not LGI. But calling him a mercenary and human garbage? A bit of a stretch, to say the least.

If Inter's directors did everything in their power to avoid the transfer that implies 115m is the best possible offer Inter could have got.

What could lower the best possible price is:

1) Inter's/Marotta's policy not to hold players back if they want to leave
2) owners demanding a deal to be made one way or another

One of these 2 or both need to change if Inter want more money from transfer fees. There are benefits of keeping no. 1.

The hypocrisy. Did any of our players in the last 10 years talked about how much they loved Inter and how much they supported Inter when they were young more than Lukaku?

This dude has been talking too much about he idolized Adriano and how he supported Inter when he was a kid and that Inter is his home.. Yet he never thought twice when the opportunity came.

This is a great deal for us, and that’s thanks to his hard work here. But him forcing his way out (rather than Inter wanting to sell him) in the middle of August is nothing but Lukaku being a hypocrite.

I thank him for everything, but he is NEVER an LGI. I wont forget his goals but I wont forget his misses too.

He is no LGI for me, but I appreciate the guy. He did just fine here. He was loved by the fans and he was one of our key players last season. I am grateful for that. The thing is Inter will not be really competitive next season. We are going downhill and lukaku is on his prime. Would you waste your prime here? He has received the offer from the CL winner, double salary. Isn't it better, than staying at the club with no project, with the Zhangs? He is no die-hard Interista. The love gestures towards Inter might have been unnecessary, given circumstances, but no hard feelings, Rom, good luck.

Its funny how this factor contributes more than Conte being a rubetino. Go compare the % of those votes here and on Conte's page

It’s always difficult for people to understand that not everyone loves inter the way we do. Lukaku never gave a shit about inter til he got transferred here. The expectation for him to remain loyal and turn down an obviously better situation on all accounts is self sabotage.

Meh, no point in sour grapes.

We all knew his I love milano bullshit was exaggerated. But he came here to do a job and did it for the most part.

I’ll wish him luck against Man U and Juve, but I could give 0 fucks otherwise. Just another player on a different team.

Lol, the only fucking reason he came here was because of Conte. And we all had discussed that if Conte leaves then we hope Lukaku leaves too. We got what we wanted.

I dont know what this has to do with my post, as me personally I didnt also vote Conte to be in LGI. At least the Rubentino doesnt pretend that he is an Interista and try to win some fans’ hearts by saying some nonsense.

Has nothing to do with you but the way people think when its about LGI.

Conte just points his finger at Juve owner and end their era ;) He gives zero fucks about being a rubentino. He is a coach now

Speak for yourself. Lukaku is a great player and I'd rather have him with us than not, especially if the alternative is Dzeko.

Lukaku has gone above expectations at Inter, purely by what was predicted at the time of his signature.

Lukaku's incoming transfer on the other hand combined that with a much higher expectations and it falls below par in that regard.
Then we get this offer to sell him, which sweetens that a bit, at least as an isolated event, as we're not really going to see those funds translated into squad reinforcement. And since Suning is temporary, I don't think it adds much overall but at the same time I cannot see him replicating another season with good output since Inzaghi will play a game that doesn't fit his strengths nor will he be as patient as Conte was and won't really leave him on to stat pad, won't let him stand around while 9 other players are running their ass off...

He's moving to a club he likes, has a personal agenda to fulfill there, unfinished business, whatever you call it. But this is also a cyclical club where players have too much power and are not the benchmark for professionalism. Eventually they will turn on Tuchel as well, be it this season or the next. And Lukaku will remember what a playground PL is compared to being a player in Serie A. With all its positives and negatives.

Inter did everything in their power to avoid Lukaku leaving, says agent

Romelu Lukaku completed a move to Chelsea on Thursday but Inter did their best to retain the prolific striker.

Inter boss Simone Inzaghi and CEO Giuseppe Marotta did everything in their power to prevent Romelu Lukaku from rejoining Chelsea, according to the striker's agent.

Lukaku completed his return to Stamford Bridge on Thursday for a reported club-record fee of £97.5million (€115m), seven years after sealing a permanent move from the Blues to Everton.

The Belgium international has spent the previous two seasons with Inter and fired the Nerazzurri to their first title in more than a decade in 2020-21, scoring 24 goals in the Italian top flight.

He has been criticised by Inter fans for moving on, with accusations of chasing a bigger salary, but Federico Pastorello, who represents Lukaku, responded to those claims in a long statement posted via social media on Friday.

"The narrative – that Lukaku's transfer was 'engineered' and 'forced' just to pander to financial interests – is leading everyone absolutely astray," Pastorello wrote.

"Lukaku has never publicly expressed any unease or discontent about his experience at Inter, his contractual situation or the well-known events of the club.

"The interest of Chelsea really touched Romelu's soul from the very first moment, because that club means to him something unique and special.

"In recent days I have seen a video from 2009 in which the 16-year-old visited the Stamford Bridge stadium with his school and swore that one day he would play on that pitch.

"I recommend everyone to watch it carefully: it's impressive how clearly a 16-year-old boy was already drawing his future.

"He wanted to wear that shirt, he succeeded when he was only 18 and unfortunately he left before he could make his mark and win something important.

"The challenge remained like a bug in his heart and mind for all these years. When, almost unexpectedly, the opportunity to try again came up – at the age of 28 after two seasons as a main player with Inter – he almost didn't believe it.

"It was a chance to come full circle and being the exemplary professional that he is, he decided it was time to accept that challenge again.

"Believe it or not, the supporters' affection and the special bond with the city of Milan made him think about it for a long time. But then, once he made his decision, he carried on with conviction and firmness."

Lukaku is the second big-name player from last season's title-winning squad to move on, following Achraf Hakimi heading to Paris Saint-Germain, while Lautaro Martinez continues to be linked with an exit.

Inter's financial struggles have been well documented, with former head coach Antonio Conte also moving on during the close season, but not everyone at the club wanted to cash in on Lukaku.

"With regards to Inter, I can guarantee that the CEO Giuseppe Marotta, the sporting director Piero Ausilio and coach Simone Inzaghi did everything in their power to avoid this," Pastorello said.

"But there are circumstances that go beyond their decision-making range and depend on the instructions of the owners."

Lukaku scored 64 goals in his two years at San Siro and is the only player across the past 15 seasons to record 20 or more goals and reach 10 assists in a single Serie A campaign.

As well as ending Inter's long wait for Scudetto glory, he also scored seven goals in six games in their run to the Europa League final in 2019-20.

Pastorello added: "I conclude my thought with a reflection on that day two years ago when Romelu Lukaku signed for Inter.

"At that time many of those who today insult me and threaten me, thanked me wholeheartedly for bringing him to Milan.

"If they had told you: 'Romelu, after scoring more than 60 goals in two seasons, bringing the club back to the top with his team-mates, playing in the Europa League final and winning the Italian league title that has been missing since 2010, being named MVP of the Europa League and Serie A, will leave the Nerazzurri bringing into the club finances a record sum for the Italian football market', what would you have done?"
