Voted for LGI simply because his goals were the backbone to our 19th scudetto, penalties or not he scored ALL OF THEM, those sublime finesse assists from a freaking giant and how he tore Milan into pieces in every match and made that fanbase shit bricks before derbies. That nice gesture of giving his spotkick to Esposito so the kid can debutscore in Meazza. He's a big man with big heart, he played for the team, but we also saw his selfcentered ego at times, but fellas, we' ve seen one of the worlds finest strikers here over the years, playing and scoring for our team. BigRom will be replaced and our opponents will envy us, again, someday.

Team effort, yes, Conte, yes, but Inter would not have grown and won the Scudetto without Lukaku. People who have not voted in him La Grade Inter, just because Sunning and a big pay check are delusional and still think of us as a Champions League winning team.

I will grab my liver as I see myself out.

The only thing I will say is he had a little clip in his Instagram video that was basically a pundit (I believe Klinsmann) saying that he carried us to the scudetto on his shoulders. I’d be lying if I said it didn’t kinda rub me the wrong way.

He was good last year but our Scudetto was a team effort and if any individual deserves credit it’s Conte.

yes it was Klinsmann, I don't remember which match but it was during Euro and Lineker asked about Lukaku.

Sadly yes, it was indeed a team effort but it's pretty obvious that a big contribution came from Lukaku. My biggest problem like many of you guys already pointed, is not necessarily the fact that we sold him but that we don't have a proper replacement and let's face it, with our current struggles, it's not going to happen.

And don't get me started with Dzeko. We are beyond screwed if he will be the only striker that will come until mercato is over.

The team was clearly built around Lukaku, and most play went through him by design. But Conte's a good manager. I'm sure if Lukaku had been out for extended periods Conte would have figured something out with Lautaro and co. (Or maybe he'd just have pouted about it).

We lost a great player and human but I can watch shows talk about him and see the pictures of him with the Chelsea shirt but anything related to hakimi I can’t see or hear. It pisses me off so fucking much that we lost hakimi.

I’ll tune in to watch Chelsea with a smile but psg games I’m gonna avoid them for a while.

Thank you for the memories and for your valuable contribution towards our 19th Scudetto.

24 goals and 11 assists is going to hard for anyone to replicate. But it's okay, we have Dzeko.

Wishing you all the best with Chelsea in the Premier League.

I agree, but the news is that he pushed for a move and honestly to me, it just seems like Marotta repeating himself back in June saying that "no player would be kept against their will" should have been his cue to ask for the move and gtfo. The timing now is bad for Inter but he doesn't care. If he said "hey I want to move now" back in June or even in July, I think people would have been sad maybe but near nobody would have felt betrayed.

I might be biased, but I just don't see the betrayal. Imo the club wanted that money badly. But, I'll wait more info and correct my current view.

Here's a quote from @pupivn 's post:

"Inevitably, there is a blame game over how Lukaku’s departure came about. As far as the player is concerned, he wouldn’t have gone anywhere had Inter not opened the door for Chelsea."

Yes, that bit bothered me a a lot too. He can think that for himself, but he put it in a video, in our face like that... It's a thing that only players like Icardi would do.

Oh well, easier to move on now.

I deliberately miss Ligue 1 every week because it is complete shit. If you need convincing, look at Dalbert.

As much as I hate to see him leaving but I respect his decision to leave. No one is bigger than the club. If he decided to leave, so let it be then.
But I will never forget his contribution in the past 2 years. Conte and him are the major reason we got the scudetto last year, and I am very thankful for that.

I'm not a finance guy but I believe 115 mil is a lot and I believe it should be purposed to stabilised the financial issues at Inter, which I really hope it can be useful for the long term and future of Inter.

Thank you Romelu and I still believe you are one of the best strikers at Inter history, I respect to all of your contributions while you are at Inter.
However, I still categorised you to be in former player section rather than LGI because you only be here for 2 years.

I don't get it why people are almost like angry he hasn't said anything to Inter fans yet. He signed YESTERDAY. Of course he's mostly concentrated on his new adventure in his new club.

I'm certain Lukaku will address Inter fans too has he said he will do that in a few days.

I also understand why he left when given the chance. Inter owner showed the ambition level to the player the minute they were ready to sell they very same player. We were downgrading, not upgrading from last season. If you get a chance to sign for a CL title holder, you don't turn that away.

What makes all that a bit awkward is of course the comments of Lukaku returning from holidays, posting those coming back etc posts. But I can guess the Chelsea option became real only very recently. I give the benefit of the doubt to Lukaku in this one.

I feel it's better that he doesn't say anything. People are only looking for someone to point their finger at, fuck suning fuck Marotta fuck Lukaku etc...

Nothing he can say to make you feel better and it's only going to worsen the division in the fanbase.
