I think that wouldn't be very smart from him, he should know that he could probably get a way better striker, younger and more fit with the money we would spend to keep Lukaku in terms of fee and wages.
Even if Lukaku magically regains form from two years ago in the remaining 3 months, who is to say that he won't go in holidays and come back 10kgs overweight again in July? We'd just be stuck saying for months "just wait until he is fit, then we'll be cooking".

Scouts are probably doing their work, but when their words reach to those who must decide, it hits a deadend.

@NimAraya it's a shame then because we're missing on young talents and we keep recruiting old Roma and Lazio players.

Take ligue 1 for example, the league's level might be ass but so many young talented players explode and go to Bundesliga and Premier League every year. Center backs, wingers, young and fast strikers. Modern players that initially are very cheap and are raw but can develop into something great ( if given time which I admit is rarely the case at Inter).

Players like Kolo Muani go to teams that are not better or richer than Inter all the time. There is no way the scouts don't know them, which is even more alarming considering it means the management prefers going for old PL players and Roma clubs rejects.

We have no money for anyone like I said. To get some solid player who plays for Frankfurt is unrealistic for us right now. We could try to buy maybe some shit player who is worth 500k, and that transfer also would be a drag cause we have shittiest owners ever who cant pay even that lmao

Yes, now he is too expensive, but he went to Eintracht from Nantes on a Bosman, only one year ago though. He was completely free and had an actually pretty good record for Nantes last year.
That's what I mean by scouting. We spent more on Asllani who barely sees the pitch than Eintracht on Kolo Muani. We do sign some young players too, but for the primavera, and we end up never using them because they'll always be some Correa or some Rocchi that will be in the squad taking their place.

Inter would not be able to sign those players on the cheap. If Inter come calling, prices go up.
It's the nature of being a big club. Regardless how shitty they are performing, Inter still remains a big club.
