Players are like girls, there always more of them around the corner to fawn about.

What I don't think matters is the feelings of stupid fans. It's clear Lukaku is a sweet-talker, anybody else who fell for it has himself to blame for.

I liked Lukaku more than most in this forum and I think his absence will be deeply felt. He makes it clear himself that he wanted to leave though, so I won't bemoan him like Hakimi. Thanks and goodbye, now let's focus on Lautaro hoping that he stays and steps up.

Well, i dont know why the hard talking, even if he push for the deal, what wrong with that?
He almost 29 and he know its his last good offer that he get, its not bad thing to take care about his life and also i alwys liked him as a person, he alwys look like very nice and senstive person who care about his people that around him, maybe im naive but that my opinion..
I hope he will fuck man und..

We sold him at our peak, It would have been perfect to invest this 180M€ + player sales income for Gosens, SMS, Haaland , but we can't as our finances are F shit. Conte made Lukaku this beast, as we've seen from our pre-S matches, team is more involved now, its not just " pass to the big man and hope for the best". Maybe Lukaku would have flopped under Inzaghi, half the numbers as last season. Now that would be disastrous as we've sold him for 70M euros, just enough to pay back ManU and Real for Hakimi.

No hard feelings about the dude. He didn't have to pretend that he wants to stay here forever tho. But bigger players have gone and we have moved on...

For me personally, i was in big grief with the departure of Coutinho, Icardi and last - Hakimi, but that's football after all.

We have moved on after Ibra, and we did it even better after him, and i have a feeling that this time after Lukaku will be similar.

Like I said. If there's ONE club that has always replaced their WC strikers, its Inter. R9, Crespo, Adriano, Vieri, Ibra, Milito, Eto'o, Icardi . Not to mention legends like Altobelli and Mazzola etc before them. Now its Lukakus turn. We are going to replace him sooner or later and there will be a line of OIL clubs outside , waiting to sign our striker. Its always been like this way.

It was the same for our RB position, since I have been following Inter. Zanetti, Maicon, Cancelo and Hakimi. But that blessing is broken and the I can't even enjoy the latter two for more than a year.

When you are poor you lose every tradition.

I think you left out the eight year gap between Maicon and Cancelo.

When it comes to Inter we can be certain about 3 things:

  • Top forwards
  • World-class GKs
  • Shit lbs
It may take us 1-2 years to properly replace Lukaku but sooner or later we will have another top forward playing for the club.

He plays for Inter and says it's a "chance of a lifetime" to join freaking Chelsea.
No, it's not a standard case. He could have said whatever the fuck he wants about his new club and what he dreamt before crapping his pants at kindergarten, but not in the farewell.
He is actually right, because he is 28 years old and this is his lifetime chance to get a big wage and make more money. I doubt that similar offer would have come next season or after that for him, so he jumped on Chelsea's boat.

Chelsea is his team.
He left PL ridiculed and gets the chance to come back in the form of his life with a great squad and a lot of money.

I don’t really feel any type of way about what he said in the letter. Wish it would have been more heartfelt but whatever.

I’m just grateful for what he did for us.
He put 1000% here.

I think the guy is a great human being.....I wish he would have become a legend here but it is what it is.

I don't feel any anger, betreyal or grief.
I can understand him completely (moreso for Chelsea, even if he was bought by City).
Big paycheck, better team (not only players, financials, potentials, management). He is already 28yo. If not now, when?
Inter is on shaggy ground. Finances, ownership, new coach and so on! We don't know what will happen next year.
Maybe if Conte and Hakimi would have stayed and we had the possibility to upgrade the team ... then, maybe Lukaku would have also stayed.

I have only a big thank you for Big Rom. He was what I wished and even more. And also a genuinely good human being...

I don't know if they are idiots.

I mean I don't have any problems with this sale.

But I completely understand Curva Nord's view on this. Lukaku acted like he's here, he's the boss, he's at home, he's the King of Milano! And all the while negotiating a deal with Chelsea the minute they approached him. I understand he wants to go there, has some fuckedup obsession with Chelsea, no problem with that. But then don't act like you are at Inter for good, this is your home and shit like that.

My view changed upside down over this after Pastorello's comments, even if he also mentioned about ownership's willingness to move but he also said about Lukaku's dream of Chelsea. Which obviously means they had the deal with Chelsea well before and the approach didn't happen at the end of July. h.grimes in Twitter posted some stuff already in May. That may be bullshit maybe not, but it fits pretty well to this how this whole thing played out.

Meh.

I don't understand why people think they wouldn't have done the exact same thing in his position. He's rejoining his first big team, which, no matter who else he's played for, will always have a place in his heart. He's rejoining them at the peak of his career, as their flagship signing, with a big salary increase.

Oh, and they're European champions.
