I don't know what to say. I am too tired, sleepy and busy this time so I'll just highlight the pros and cons that I saw today.

CONS
- Mancini made a tactical disaster. Fielding 5 offensive players in Veron, Recoba, Oba, Adri and Deki is just purely suicidal. Thank God Cambiasso did well in the anchor role.
- Defence has been crap, yet again. Even though the second goal was unstoppable, both goals are results of p!ss poor defending. Cordoba screwed up with the first. But Burdisso and Javier Zanetti played parts in it too. Burdisso failed to cover the near post, causing Cordoba to move there. Cordoba fails to head the ball properly and J.Zanetti gave Mancini so much time and space to cross. Care to tell me how Roma went 3 vs 1 for the third goal? Absolute shambels.
- Adriano fails to score for the second consecutive Serie A games. :scared::D
- Veron was poor, other than the goal.
- And so was Deki, who I think need some rest. He hasn't been his old self over the last few games. Mind you that I did not see the Anderlecht game.
- Losing a 3-1 lead against Roma, yet again. I believe we lost a 3-0 lead against them in 02/03 in San Siro.
- I don't know if it was a tactical mistake but Javier Zanetti was a mere shadow of his oldself. He gave Mancini way too much space on the left. I don't know if he was assigned to do zonal marking but he hardly man-mark Mancini and Mancini ran riot. It got better in the second half though.
- Martins. :depress: I wonder how bad is his injury.

PROS
- Finally, someone other than Martins, Adriano, Stankovic and Recoba scores.
- We showed that we are not Adriano-dependant over the last 3 games.
- We are still unbeaten. Overall, Mancini played 7 games and won 3. He averaged just below 2 points per game. Not a championship-team record but it's not bad at all. Valencia, champion of La Liga last season, recorded 2 points per game (Just in La Liga) if I'm not wrong.
- Cambiasso. :star:

All in all, the performance wasn't good but the result is good, not great. A draw in the Olimpico against Roma, runner-up to last season, is not a disaster. The team certainly doesn't deserve all the curse I read in the forum for the result. It is kinda frustrating though that we enter the short break at the back of a draw in a game we should have won.

We need improvements in our defense, that's for sure (not necessarilly changes of players), cause I liked Burdisso, and Ze Maria and J.Zanetti are better than Favalli.

After the last match of Ze Maria everybody was saying that he was great, now he sucks; he doesn't deserve that, every player have bad games, like stan today, usually he's one of our best players.

For me a tie at the Olimpico is not that bad, maybe what it's making you all mad is the fact that we tie a lot, and it's not just this game, is all the Serie A games together, actually I think this is our best result, we didn't play that bad (in comparison to the other serie A games), cause in the Chmpions is another story.

I agree!

What a FUCKED-UP defence do we have (and off-form goalkeaper) We maneged to conced 2 goals after our lead. This can't hapen to big teams. Something has to be changed. Not only that our defenders aren't in form, also Mancini has to improve his job over defence.
Midfield was kind strange with something like diamond formation with Adriano and Oba with Recoba behind them. We strugeld alot because we didn't have any balance between attack and defence. Then Oba got injured (I think he'll be ok, ne twisted his anckle) and Davids steped in. Until then, our game improved alot. In 2nd half, we were excelent untill Toti managed to score a goal from 31m. What a goal, and Toldo didn't do anything to prevent it. His positioning was realy bad... other two goals were errors of defence (I think they don't know how to take a position)
At the end, Roma was better. They had ball possesion and they were attacking more. We have dominated after Davids came in, until Toti's goal. Our game in midfield was very weak, we made a lot of errors and wrong passes
I am so pissed, we need to cover thos damn flansk and to buy one world-class defender.

TOLDO 5.5/10
He made one dangerous shoot from Toti, but beside that he was very bad today. So insecure...

ZE MARIA 5.5/10
Practicly invisible during all game. He made only couple of good crosses, but in defence he sucked alot

CORDOBA 7/10
He was ok, but still his positioning isn't good. Also we made only 1 (ONE!!!!) offside trap... and Roma had a lot of attacks. COrdoba has to improve a lot, but tonight his game was ok

BURDISSO 6.5/10
Cordoba and Burdisso need to work a lot together so they can play as a real CB duo. They don't copy each other very good and I hope they'll improve
Beside that, Burdisso was good tonight, without any huge mistake. Still his man-marking needs to be better

J. ZANETTI 6/10
Averge game from our Capitano. He played as a LB, and our left flank was unprotected. He was better in second half, but still we need a real LB (or Javier in his best form)

STANKOVIC 6/10
Tonight, Deki missed final touch. He was working hard, runing all the time but that's all. He isn't in his best form...

VERON 7/10
I'll quote this every time. Excelent ball distribution and leadership in midfield. Still he needs his teammates to start playing on high level. Also he scored tonight... good game from Seba

CAMBIASSO 7.5/10
Very good game from El Cuchu. He was excelent in ball wining, and I think that playing him and Veron in this moment is excelent.

RECOBA 8/10
Very good El Chino. His game was very good... a lot off passes, excelent crosses and great finishing. Still he isn't coesistent, but one assist and goal tonight is defenitly ok

MARTINS -
He wasn't in the match, but he didn't had good balls from his midfield. Shame he got injured, I hope he'll recover soon

ADRIANO 6.5/10
Not at his best... some good chances, his dribling is excelent, also he made one excelent free kick which ended abowe the crossbar (142 km/h, it was a PROJECTIL - very close to goal) Beside that, his game was averge

subbs
DAVIDS 7/10
A lot of presing, very good Pit Bull. But still he has to improve a lot, this is not what he is capable for.
CRUZ -
C. ZANETTI -

Ok, we proved tonight that we don't have composed defence and that our flanks are so damn unprotected. Something has to be changed. Also our midfield with Davids-Cambiasso-Veron-Stankovic is doing well. Davids is presing opponent, Veron is organiser, Stankovic can play as an OMF and Cambiasso as a real DM.
Also we have to work on game organisation, cause Veron is the only player who can play the ball without mistake. And our side backs need much more agility ...
That all for tonight folks, I am afraid that with this defence we can't reach scudeto. We don't have strong character as Juve or Milan, but with HARD WORK and right playeres (Company or Leadly King) we can do much better. I am so disapointed tonight cause I think this is the bye bye to scudeto....

will someone please give credit to Roma performance, Toti was class today, and he scored his 100 goal in class.

Toldo has no chance with either goal and he made agreat save vs another Toti shot,

yes the problem in defense but not defenders the probelm with the whole team defending, lets face it with such attack power maybe we will always be like that but we need to know how to win,

man i cant believe we gave away a 3-1 lead damn ittttt! I was so happy when Veron and Recoba scored, did u guys see the way we celebrated after those goals, did u hear Recoba and Javier screaming something to our inter fans when chino scored!! Man was i jumping in my chear then our phucking defence screwes everything, I mean the 3rd goal of roma there was only 1 inter player there and 2 roma players WTF this is serie a for gods sake not garden football :fero: ! Anyways even though we cant look optimistic at the moment, We should try to cause we still havent lost anything and there are still 33 games left so 99 points up for grabs.

WE BETTER START WINNING!!! why has the next match have to be in 2 weeks, if it was up to me i would want it in 2 days! I want to erase this nightmare defending

I´m not that disappointed. Roma deserved 1 point at least. 1 point for Inter is good considering the catastrophical passing rate we had!! OMG how many wrong passes. Veron was great though.

What I really liked was the overall tendency I saw for the future. Having real good possession of the ball. When did we see Inter do that in Olimpico for the last couple of years. Sometimes it looked like Inter was the home team - nice!

It was nice to see Van Der Meyde was the happiest player on the bench when Inter scored. He should´ve played instead of Recoba.

Poor Martins, it didn´t look nice. Hope you break a leg and get out for the rest of the season De Rossi you SOB. Don´t touch Martins.

Cordoba-Burdisso was good. Not their fault that Ze Maria and Javier Zanetti was out of the game.

Davids :depress: He´s really out of form. Cambiasso is definitely the starter for now. Cambiasso was Man of the Match by the way.

In the second half Adriano played the way I want him to. Nice, in the first half he came to far back in the field.

Anyway, my hopes for the Scudetto is kinda of gone since long, my hopes this year are Champions League, cause that tournament decides at the end of the season of the second half of it at least. The Scudetto chase will probably get hurt in the build up phase Mancini is under and probably to many points will be lost. But you know, only 6 points up anyway. I think Roma will beat the livin crap out of Juventus.

Cannavaro was by the way once again a little shaky against Udinese. I´m just waiting for his mistakes to pour down in goals in Juves ass.

Many have bashed Favalli, but I´m sure that has stucked in your throat today :fero:

Cordoba and Toldo have not performed to their best! Mancini has totally lost it today. And we´re full of injuries too. Now we have 3 strikers who are not injured... And Vieri is recovering. Yippie!:rollani: Stupid that we set a 2 goal lead overboard! A draw is not a disaster.

But I prefer 2 wins and 2 defeats over 4 bloody draws!! :yuck: It´s like the bright hope Mancini has brought to Inter has faded. Nah, we have to be patient, my Nerazzurri brothers and sisters. 9 matches played and we still haven´t lost.

If Moratti doesn´t shut up after this match I´m gonna vucking ducktape that man! A draw vs. Roma is not a disaster. *boiling*

As many of us had predicted, this was a high-scoring and a very entertaining game. We didn't deserve to win and Roma didn't deserve to lose, so a tie was very fair for us and fair for them.

Our defence was bad at this game, not only the two CD's. In fact, Burdisso played a good game and saying that had Materazzi been there we would've stopped some goals is rubbish.

Toldo was really sloppy and absent-minded in this game, even Burdisso was yelling at him when he wouldn't move forward and get the ball when Montella was at Burdisso's back. The old Toldo would've saved either the first or the third goal, maybe he needs a rest and a challenge. I want to see Carini starting some games to rest and challenge Toldo.

Adriano looked tired in this game and he needs a rest and the same goes for Stankovic who should've done better to stop the third goal. Veron was slow and also sloppy at times, but the idea of the goal was really beautiful. Davids was Davids and was running all over the left-flank, too bad we didn't have players around the penalty area to take advantage.

Camibasso was our MOM (Man Of the Match.) Good goal and excellent performance, he was a ball-winner and a deep playmaker at the same time. He should see more action and let's see how he goes from there. Good goal by Recoba but then he disappeared, this is a normal Recoba pattern.

At the end, it was bald of Mancio to go with Martins, Adriano and Recoba. We really should've played 4-4-2 instead of 4-3-3 at the beginning. But giving our defence, our best philosophy now is to attack and attack until a solution is found.

Well , Good match But I missed Matrix though Burdisso performed well but it is a matter of experience . Totti's Gol was very desicive for Roma as if they didn't pull one back ...we would have won the match by 4-1 i believe .

We lacked creativity tonite after we reached our 3-1 scoreline , Stankovic seemed very tired and i didn't understand why he was subsituted with C.zanetti rather than VDM !! .

It isn't acceptable to start the match against Roma in their ground with 4-3-3 formation and with only CM ...that's Cambiasso . We almost lost the match in the fst half . I think we should play with either Veron-Cambiasso -Davids or Veron-Davids- C.Zanetti against Big teams . We won't tolerate such Risks against teams who play good when given space (gobbi , Milan ) . Otherwise we can play with Veron-Cambiasso or Veron - Davids against weak teams .

Il capitano wasn't il capitano at the fst half but improved in the 2nd . Recoba played a good game but it seems that he can't complete 90 minutes . From now on Our Striking Force shall be Adriano - Martins or Adriano -Recoba then Martins and vice verca , the only thing lacking though is the aerieal chances as neither Martins nor Adriano can pounce on such balls .

I think we are 6 points adrift but there is still a Huge hope that we can lift this 14th scudetto as Juve still didn't play a Big match and they will draw alot of matches . I an bet on this . Also Milan doesn't Look very sharp like last year . they aren't that motivated . We shall solve our defensive mistakes though and play the same game we play but with a bit of concetration as in the past 5 matches we played in the league , Esepcially after we score , I noticed that the players don't perform like they used to before getting the goals , We should work on that . It's like they sense that the match is over or that they couldn't believe that they are winning with such alot of goals I don't know .

FORza Inter and please Mancio , you should make your subsitutions a bit earlier .

No wonder why we only got one win out of five matches. We´re changing the lineup like a chameleon changes it´s color.

Consistency from now on please, Roberto Mancini! :hopefull:

Man this club is totally ****ed up. We can't keep a 2 goal lead for the 3rd time in the space of 2 seasons...

Oh well, it's Inter afterall. :frustrat:

The only player that deserves any sort of praise is Cambiasso. I Don't know what happened to Javier Zanetti, he's been awful. Mancini made a fool out of him for the whole first half and luckily for JZ Davids came to his rescure later on.

Stankovic shouldn't have stayed on the pitch. Terrible game. Where was Van der Meyde ?

What a game, it was so exciting, especially in the second half!!! But 3-3 is unacceptable from the position we were in!! I mean we were leading 3-1 away from home but let it slip away.

During the first half I dunno what was going on. Our passing wasn’t great and we seemed to have poor vision as there were men free but our players were taking the wrong options. Oba got injured which was a real blow and we were taking long-range shots that had no chance of going in. There was also the calamity defending which led to Roma’s first goal  This is really scaring me guys, if we carry on like this then there will be many more draws/losses on the horizon and no trophy in sight!

Frankly due to our first half performance I thought we were lucky to go in level, as Roma were the better side. Still I was very happy with our goal and was shouting before it even entered the net, as I knew we had scored.

Then the second half came and we stepped it up with a couple of goals, one great one from Recoba. That is the Recoba I love to see, an assist to Cambiasso and a goal for himself!! We were winning 3-1 and like a fool I was already celebrating the win. Even with Totti’s goal (which I thought was fantastic, no blame for our team, just a great 100th goal), I still thought we would see it through; surely we can defend this lead. But oh no we do some more calamity moves and let them equalise. It was ridiculous!! Cut to me spending the rest of the game swearing at the TV and not believing we could let this slip away.

People are going on about the whole Vieri fiasco and who should play in attack, but I don’t care about that - we need to sort out our defence!! That will be our downfall this season for sure. I guess it is always a rollercoaster with Inter and it was a great game where we scored three goals, just a shame we didn’t see it through.

Zanetti was not made for the left back, but still I don't like Favalli... :scared: . I think resting Toldo is a good idea, and Cambiasso, Burdisso and VDM should be regular starters, at least for now.

That was my moment of the game. I was so happy and i wished i understood some italian and spanish. I think JZ was saying "Si, Si" which means "Yes!! Yes!!". Then Veron came and said something in spanish, it was so loud you could hear it.

That was another marvellous moment. It seems VDM believes he is part of the team, he really looked genuinely happy.

Seriously Cordoba and Zanetti shouldn't be playing for a while.

Materazzi - Burdisso, and Pasquale at left-back.

Had you said this in the past, I would fly to Egypt and shove a camel up your a$$. But it's painfully true. Both of them have been a mere shadow of themselves this season. Perhaps even our Supermen needs some rest. They will get a break from Inter but will still play for their respective NTs. Hopefully, they came back brand new.

It wasn't some player's faults, it was a collective thing. If the guy in my avatar was our coach when we were 3-1 up, then we would have won. But Mancini is different and he is an attack-minded guy and we have to accept that. It will take some players some time to shift their mentaltiy. On top of that, we still need a real good defensive LB.
