That was classic Barella.questionable decisions from barella with that shot and that cross to thuram when dimarco was wide open

Neither are any of other contenders. This whole international break bullshit is the culprit. Just look at any top team in every league, they didn't have proper preseason yet they are forced to play in some stupid international friendlies.Great result but we were not good at all.
I'm too lazy to make an edit of pics/clips, but he was caught off guard many times. Playing deep requires a lot of responsibility and tactical discipline. I already said that it isn't entirely his fault, but we say what we see in pitch.I know you aren't talking about Barella skill but calling him poor in this match is just not true. Saying words like vulnerable without actually pointing when or which situation he was vulnerable in is not right. Of course he looked good, he was playing in his position.
It's a chicken and egg thing, is it because of Barella or because the other midfield did not make their runs to create spaces? Anyway, don't bother, you saw what you saw and so did I.I'm too lazy to make an edit of pics/clips, but he was caught off guard many times. Our midfield was poor tactically tonight, and that's because of Barella's incompetence and of course Frattesi is a non-factor for most of time. It made even Mkhi look lost sometimes.
I'll try to bring some moments if I get to browse from desktop.

That`s not only at Inter. Pirlo was also an attacking MF converted by Ancelotti in DLP. And so are the most of them. Modric (you could call him a DLP) was the same.I think Inter fans have a weird view of what a DLPs is. Maybe because our last 2 DLPs (Brozo, Hakan) were actually box-to-box players pigeonholed in that role. They certainly weren't Pirlo-type DLPs.
We shouldn't even call it that at this point. Just call it a "box-to-box midfielder playing in front of the back 3".

DLP is the most difficult position arguably to learn and master. You don`t see a 20yo kid bossing in this position from his first seasons. Probably the only one I remembered as a pure DLP from the beginning was Xavi. And even him needed a few years until he became worldclass.
He made three subs at once because two slots were already used when Calhanoglu and Acerbi went out. It's been a few years now, and our coach still does the same mistakes on substitutions. We better mantain this result, otherwise we never scoring with Correa in pitch.
Carlos Augusto has always been a safe option as LCB. But then again, shouldn't have rushed with three subs right away, there's still plenty of time for many things to happen.
