The problem is more with Inzaghi than Gosens. The German can undoubtedly play. That was very much the case before he came to Inter and it is still the case now. I have always felt that he could be a real asset for Inter but the way he has been utilised to date simply does not make sense nor does Inzaghi's decision to continually omit him from the starting line-up.

The alleged crisis in confidence is Inter and Inzaghi made. Get him off the bench and allow him to play and we will undoubtedly get the best from him.

I think the problem is Dumfries and whomever plays around Gosens (ie Bastoni/Dimarco and Hakan or Mkhitaryan).
Not their fault per se, but there is some clash. He should have been settled with the rest of them by now but there seems to be some void still.

Yeah I think so, Dumfries not crossing well, we couldn’t have two WBs like that at same time but Gosens’ crossing is decent IMO, at least lower one.

I do believe that Gosens can give a lot to the team. He might have lacked confidence for a variety of reasons but I hope that he will be trusted by Inzaghi and he is also able to deliver when given the opportunity. 🤞

Along with that and most importantly, the team is starting to perform better, so I hope all the factors will help him excel. 🤞 Not to forget imminent return of Lukaku. 🤞

Even though he hasn't been great, I've always really liked him and really hope he can succeed here. When he has space to run into he's devastating, but we often don't get it. If inzaghi is playing more counter style, that should suit Robin perfectly. Let's gooooo

Start playing him like Onana. We changed the way we play last couple of games and that style suits him. DiMarco should be benched.

INTER’S GOSENS: ‘I WANT TO PLAY MORE, NOT HAVING AN EASY TIME’
Robin Gosens played a key role in Inter’s tense 3-3 draw with Barcelona last night and he made it clear that he wants to feature more consistently under Simone Inzaghi.
The 28-year-old German full back came off the bench in the 76th minute of last night’s Champions League clash, replacing Hakan Calhanoglu, and he scored what he thought was the winning goal in the 89th minute of the match. Whilst Robert Lewandowski would find an equaliser in extra time, it was still a positive evening for Gosens and Inter.

Speaking to Sport Mediaset after the match, Gosens commented on his mood after scoring against Barcelona.
“Definitely my ambition is to play more. I’m not having an easy time on a personal level, but I’m working hard and I’m really happy to have been able to help the team.”

He spoke about the frustration of conceding in extra time, taking away the win from Inter.
“On the one hand we are happy with the result but on the other hand, when there are five minutes to go and you have the result in your hands, you want to bring home the three points.
“We know that Barcelona are always capable of scoring goals with a striker like Lewandowski, but we saw a great Inter side. We suffered but we played a game of great spirit.”
Let him start already! Especially against Salernitana

Unfortunately I think Inzaghi will continue to use his lover boy DiMarco on left flank.

IMO his 30 minutes is already better than Dimarco's 60 minutes. Gosens' crossing is slightly worse, but he excels in other departments especially in defence and movement.

Dimarco is so important in our playmaking with his crossing ability.

I don't think Gosens can fill that task, he's more useful in different type of games which I think we don't have too many in the season in general. Games where we are more direct and don't control the ball too much.

The issue is Dumfries. If it were Candreva on the right then Gosens would have been playing more.

Yeah that's true. We don't do stuff through Dumfries that much because he's pretty similar to Gosens. He's direct and not possession or crossing player too much. Perisic was a mixture of both, he could do a bit of everything.

If we improve our counter attacking football then I can see again a deadly Dumfries like he was a little while ago. His decision making was rather poor, but in overall he was very useful through a period of time while we played much quicker. I think his aerial ability and goal instinct is a kind of underrated here. What he's very bad at, is tactical aspect, something which Darmian is superior at for example.

In all honesty I think that our wingbacks are good enough for the level we are playing right now. I mean, we aren't aiming to win Champions League, but however as for Serie A, I think with some improvements like offensively being more clinical, playing quicker football, then we are good to go because defensively there is an improvement lately.

I think the situation could look better for both Dumfries and Gosens once Lukaku is back.

Our coach needs to show more patience with Gosens like he does with his boyfriend Correa. The latter one is absolutely useless no matter whom we are playing against, meanwhile Gosens despite not being at his best, still puts in effort and within a short period of playing time he gets, he usually leaves a mark.

INTER’S GOSENS: ‘SCORING AGAINST BARCELONA A UNIQUE EMOTION’
Robin Gosens highlighted his mentality and discipline, his thoughts on the city of Milan and how it felt to score against Barcelona.
The 28-year-old German wing back has not had the easiest time with the Nerazzurri since arriving in January of this year. Gosens arrived with a hamstring injury and struggled for consistent minutes following his recovery, an issue he’s also dealing with this season. Gosens scored a key goal against Barcelona in the Champions League this week and will be hoping for more chances in the coming games.

Speaking in the Inter matchday programme, Gosens first discussed the importance of a good mentality and discipline.
“They are two essential characteristics for me, I wouldn’t be here without them. Having fun on the football pitch is also fundamental, it’s something that has made the difference, I’ve always had fun and this has remained. Even if there is pressure now, I’ve always held on to my love of football.”

He reflected on some of the cities he’s lived in during his career.
“I made my professional debut in Dordrecht, a small city in the Netherlands but very important for me. In Bergamo I grew as a person and as a player, it was an intense experience. Milan is a unique city, down when I was in Bergamo I used to visit it often, it’s beautiful and modern, and now I’m happy to be here.”

Finally, Gosens commented on how it felt to score such a key goal against Barcelona.
“I’m a very lucky man, entering Camp Nou and scoring an important goal for the team is a unique emotion.”

This season, the 28-year-old Gosens has played 339 minutes of action across 11 games in Serie A and the Champions League, only making three starts under Simone Inzaghi.
IMO Inzaghi needs to do more to integrate him into the 1st squad.

When it comes to attack this guy is like a shark, he can outplay any defender and runs to box as great striker.

In defense he hasn't had any serious challenge so far, but I'm sure he will handle it.

I don't get it how useless Correa gets twice as much playing time, I understand this is mainly because of lLukaku, but anyways.
