I do not see what is so good about Gabriel Jesus.

I really think he’s just coming into his own as a striker. I think he’s very well rounded, quick dribble, good strength for his size, presses very well. If he can become more clinical I don’t see why he won’t be one of the top strikers in the next 3-4 years.

But he he become more clinical?

I bit like an issue we have with Lukaku. MAYBE if he trains the finishing harder, he could do it like Zlatan did as Jesus is only 23 years old.

That Jesus is a good striker, but not a clutch striker. Pass on him.

Zlatan's issue was never that he wasn't a good finisher. He just wasn't focused to score as much as he was into being a tricksmaster for highlight reels. Growing up watching guys like Ronaldo, Denilson, Zidane, Figo and when you're entering your prime you see Ronaldinho, it kinda gets to your head. Capello basically told him that his job is to score goals, not to play around with the ball. So he started shooting a lot more in training, not because he was bad at finishing but to make it a habit to shoot more often.

And he was placed further up. Back then, even strikers like Romario and Ronaldo would come and stay very deep. And most "10s" did that, Roberto Baggio, Laudrup, Rivaldo, Recoba and many others wouldn't play closer to the goal like they do these days.

Zlatan would prefer to score one goal that makes worldwide news than score 3 normal ones. He still does, but at least after Capello indoctrinated him, he could score at volumes, too.

“He could have gone to Inter, but Mancini didn’t call him. This is why he chose Manchester City,” Durante explained in an interview with Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.it.
“He was one of the most promising Palmeiras players. Inter were strongly interested and I told the Nerazzurri to have Mancini call him because he is a very sensitive guy. Inter didn’t do it, unlike Manchester City. Guardiola called him and convinced him.”

Grazie Roberto

Mancini wanted Suning to spend money on proven quality at CB, DM and LB positions. So I can understand why he didn't call, Mancio wasn't interested in blowing up the budget on the likes of Jesus, Gabigol or Mario. But unfortunately Suning were listening to the likes of Kia Joorabchian those days. We didn't get Jesus, but we ended up wasting 70m on Mario and Gabigol.

I want to find someone who devoutly defends me the way Bluenine defends Roberto Mancini.

LOL. I defend all Inter legends. Maybe if you had worked harder at football practice as a kid... :p

Well deserved, can’t say anything else. He’s shown tactical flexibilty we’ve never seen from him in club football, exceeded the potential of the resources at his hands and yet stayed true to the classic Italian football.

He's definitely rebuilt his career so fast. Should he leave the Italia job after the WC I'm sure he'll find a spot at a big club again.
