The only problem would be us getting a replacement. We still didnt get the Rano one in all this time.

It maybe the time when we need to jump the gun and put more faith in a youth player, or Agoume if he doesn't go on loan again.

We may also decide to take some risk and go with only 5 midfielders given that Broz is the only one who's going to the WC.

And as the last resort, Vecino is still a free agent :yao:

They dont trust Agoume, thats why they trying to loan him out to low tier serie a teams. And going into the season with 5 midfielderd would be beyond retarded, even for Inter. Just imagine Barella gets injured and another starter gets in problem with cards. We would be fucked.

I don't see a sense to have a young player like Agoume as 6th midfielder, because he will eat the bench most of the time. If the player is still in the primavera, like Carboni and gets a call from time to time, it's another story.

Going into the season with 5 midfield players is the same as going with 5 players + G5. He's literally useless to us now. Keeping him for the sake of keeping the right number of players makes no sense at all. If we can't get a replacement for him, just promote any midfield player from the primavera when we need to use our 6th midfielder.

Obviously that's not a good idea.

Gagliardini seems to be more highly regarded in the team then some people here perceive. Although under Inzaghi he was utilized less than when playing for Conte, (afraid of keeping possession) he isn’t as bad as we think.

Inzaghi would probably pick him more than Agoumè over a season, not because Gagliardini is better but because he knows what to do on the pitch.

Yes because that is the typical Italian manager thing to do. Experience and predictability are always favored to the unknown, even if the unknown is more talented. Hopefully we force Inzaghi’s hand because I think he could actually develop talent if he had to.

Situations where you are going to need your 6th choice medfield are very rare. Asllani can be both Brozo and Barella sub, Mkhi can be Hakan and Barella sub. So what's the point of keeping a player to play similar minutes to Ranocchia last season when you can have any talent from your primavera do the same job?

Because you need to consider injuries/suspensions/poor form throughout the season. Having 2 subs for 3 starting positions for a club that fights in 3 tournaments is by no means enough.

Obviously Gagliardini is better than FIF thinks. If he was a walking disaster, that would influence our Scudetto run, in which he played enough to really deserve it. He is not useless to the team, but yeah he isn't really there to light up the world when he plays.

We played different style of football then. I can't see him being useful in our current style of football.

NEW OFFER - The Monza management has made an offer to Inter for Gagliardini. The Nerazzurri midfielder is considering whether to go there immediately or to expire, as did Ranocchia, who passed in red and white Source: Sportmediaset

I don't know how much is the offer, but take the money and run.

It depends. He goes and we need to replace him and that requires money. Casadeis of the world ain't gonna do that.

Good lord, who would have thought that keeping Gags maybe a smart move tactically and financially.

There was a good defensive play by Agoumè against a Lens player, where he was required to run some good length of the pitch and make a challenge.

That demonstration of pace and physical play alone showed more than Gagliardini’s abilities. Also, considering that Agoumè appears to be more comfortable on the ball and can pass, he probably could replace Gagliardini in the team as Barella’s sub.

But I’m not the one watching these players during training.

I'm afraid that if we sell Gags, we'll bring two old midfielders for high wages

In most non Italian clubs this guy would be sold and the replacement would be either Agoume or Casadei.

Chelsea making offers for a kid who hasn’t even played for the first team and we won’t even give minutes in
preseason. Only in Italy man.
