I still want to see Alvarez in the AM position with Coutinho as the SS. To bad we didn't register Alvarez for the EL, would have been the perfect time for experimentation.

His finishing in one-on-one has always been horrible and will always be horrible, I've been saying this since before we bought him that's why I've always wanted to see him play as a CM, his tackling and positioning are pretty good, his work-rate is solid too. He could play as an AM but still think his best position is CM.

I also knew him before he came to Inter, and everyone who knew him know's that his best time in VS was when he played in the MF, in AMF position or CMF position. he is not like Lamela or Cou.

He just needs some confidence. If he gets a lot of playing time surely he'll improve. He did show his class against Catania, that roll in his first massive chance :datass:. It does frustate me that since his arrival he still hasn't managed to train his right foot. Especially for a guy with his technique.

We should give him more and more chances to play, if not loan him to Espanyol or wherever, I'm sure he will improve, he has the potential.

I might be repeating myself but the thing I like the most about him is his attitude when having the ball - not the awkward slow one but the one where he makes a move only a few players out there, not only in our league but in the best four leagues would care to do. For example, the ball stepover vs Catania, the change-of-direction-flick, etc. Too bad he's not as spectacular in finishing but I'm pretty positive a better Ricky would come with time and team understanding.

I'm pretty happy with Obi's skills too - he had some pretty spectacular feints, runs across multiple opponents a couple of times this game. That's what I'd like to see from promising young players, the willingness to play for fun and for the sake of pleasing the crowd.

I like that he actually tries to do something. He fucks up half the time, loses the ball or whatever...but at least he has a mind to try something. Make something happen.

Not just mindless side passes or hopeless long balls.

I think the more Ricky plays against the so called "smaller" teams, the more his confidence will grow. But not just that, it'll improve his understanding of our current system and hopefully allow him to translate these performances into the crunch games.

Just my idea.

The talent is there, the ball is glued to his feet. Sadly as we saw in that one instance, at times the glue sticks a bit too much. The problem is mental, down to confidence. Not any kind of lack of quality. Players with that much natural talent you cannot give up on if they are willing to work. Eventually we can solve this thing if we show 100% faith and commitment. Bound to pay rewards.
