Real Sociedad is very much built with players from their academy. Massive respect to that historic club.

I recommend watching Japan's NT, they never had such a good team before. Mitoma, Kubo, Kamada, Tomiyasu, Endo, Tanaka, Asano,..

They had Tsubasa Ozora,Genzo Wakabayashi,Ryo Ishizaki...back in the days so not impressed.

yea I really didn't want to draw Real S. but here we are.
We know about Spanish teams as Inter fans, but tbh this time it feels different, cause we have Inzaghi; also we were able to fuck Barca, this should be nothing in comparison, just don't be cocky, take them seriously, we should handle this.

Also another good thing is they seem very vulnerable with the spaces they leave behind.

I think it will be more like Acerbi-SDV-Pavard trying to keep one side more invasive. The thing is this style might work better with Cuadrado than Dumfries maybe, but who knows, I don't think we should over-rotate:

I personally prefer to experiment something like this, but it takes away some of the game controlling element, but stronger in defense and forward runs.
It is kinda hard to play Frattesi and Barella together

De Vrij can’t play anywhere else besides that center spot. I’m not too fond of Acerbi playing LCB though.

I suspect we will be sitting pretty deep as to not expose our CBs too much, but I don’t like Acerbi starting at LCB from minute one playing against a young pacy side. I’m guessing we’ll go with something like Pavard De Vrij Acerbi. I think Darmian could use the rest after having to deal with Leao at the weekend. If Bastoni is being rested it would be nice to have Pavard in there to add an additional attacking element.

I'd rather play Darmian on the left than Acerbi tbh, especially if that left-sided defender will be coming up against Kubo. Obviously Bastoni would be preferred.

Not really, Frattesi should start Empoli game, not CL game. I will keep, Miki, Dimarco, Darmian and maybe play DeVrij.

Miki is the one with big CL experience left in the team. No way Inzaghi benching him after Milan Derby performance and playing CL game on the road.

Gonna repost what I did in the La Liga thread since it'll get more attention here and it's topically relevant.

The entirety of the Sociedad attack came through Kubo in yesterday's game. Once Garcia and Kroos began to mark him tighter in the 2nd half, along with limiting his service, Sociedad produced just about nothing of substance. I will also say that, while I didn't tend to watch him defensively during the game, he could've done more in helping close down Garcia on the cross that led to the winning goal for Madrid, although the criticism on that one certainly lies harder on Le Normand and Traore for that one.
