We can comfortbaly go into 20/21 with Alvaro Pereira if that's our midfield.

If we don't offload Radja, I'd rather keep him instead of getting Vidal. Don't think there are a lot of differences in terms of player type and it will save us a lot of money/salary.

We first should offload all of our dead wood like Icardi, Perisic, Dalbert, Valero, Vecino etc etc. I think Radja deserves a second chance, especially if there is nobody who is willing to pay his wages even on a loan.

Yes, there are many people that want Radja back, especially for that kind of money he is about to go [with Vidal coming in on €5.5m-6m salary].

However, reports indicate club is prepared to offload him. Cittaceleste.it write that the Nerazzurri are desperate to offload the Belgian and his €4.5m salary, which is due to run until 2022.

Fiorentina and former employers Roma are considered the frontrunners for his signature, but the Beneamata must sell him for at least €19.6m to avoid a loss on their balance sheet.

Bring him home. He reached 5 goals and 5 assists in Cagliari with 10+ games to go, I think he definitely deserves a 2nd chance.

I totally agree zodd. Besides, it seems that we are trying to gather more Belgium NT players, including Vertonghen & Meunier, both of whom will be free agents at the end of this season. Nainggolan would fit, given the already established relationships between them. We might look much more cohesive unit on the field, like a true team.

Here`s what italian football journalist Fabrizio Biasin has claimed on what the future could hold for each of Mauro Icardi, Radja Nainggolan and Ivan Perisic, all of whom were judged to be out of Inter’s project this past Summer and subsequently loaned out.

“None of the three will return to Milan and the Inter management will try and find new clubs for them.

“Nainggolan could be used as an exchange pawn for someone like Fiorentina’s Chiesa as an example.”

Nainggolan is not the type of guy Conte wants around. He's too reckless, too individual. Conte wants players who do exactly what are told. Conte demands total commitment and probably Marotta told all the stuff from previous season last summer, so I doubt Radja is coming back.

I think loaning Radja is the difference between Inter and Juve this season. In my opinion, we don't have major problems in attack and defence, the numbers are similar to those of Juve so in these areas of the field, we are good. Our midfield, on the other hand, is way below Juve and Lazio. We have great players like Barella and Brozo, but that's it. Sensi is an injury prone and the trio Gags, Vecino and Valero aren't good enough for a title competing team. If we had Radja/player like him instead of Vecino, we could have been in a better place.

I love Radja and i think he's a top midfielder which could do well here, but if Conte doesn't want him so we must sell him. I just want us to get high quality midfielders, and i don't care about age or something. Vidal, Tonali, Radja... I don't care who, just give me some quality midfielders. When we do that, we can close the gap with Juve.

btw, i didn't mentioned Eriksen because he didn't play much. but of course he's a high quality midfielder and should be a starter.

With Radja we would probably end up having a few points more, but not more than that. He can't last 90 minutes in and out, and he would've gotten injuried once or twice anyway.
He would've made a subtle difference but wouldn't shift the balance. I doubt we would've been first at this point.

Reporters are now also speculating if he stays. I guess that we either make similar deal as last summer and pay most of his salary (even more than last year because of Covid19) while he's playing for another club or then we have him in our team and pay his full salary. I find it very hard to see him being used as makeweight in any deal, because no big club is going to want him and no smaller club can afford his salary.

There are rumours Fiorentina are interested in him and we want to offer him plus cash to Fiorentina for Chiesa.

Yes I know but how can Fiorentina pay his salary now in Covid19-times? I feel that's more some fantasy transfer rumoring by the reporters than anything concrete (whispers that Fiorentina would really consider Nainggolan as an acquisition).

SM: Conte is ready to welcome Nainggolan back from Cagliari

Radja Nainggolan in his one year wearing the Inter shirt showed very little of his immense talent. Despite scoring a few decisive goals (especially the one that decided the Champions League race), the midfielder admitted himself that he did not feel like he was playing the best football.

And so despite the appreciation from Antonio Conte, Inter and Nainggolan parted ways. Now due to the complicated negotiation and the worldwide pandemic, Nainggolan could really become the surprise weapon for the coach of Inter.

Cagliari are not in position to redeem the Belgian and from a technical point of view, Antonio Conte is ready to focus on the player again, a personal gamble if you will, one that the coach hopes to show results on the pitch.

What about the player?
Nainggolan wants to prove himself according to Sport Mediaset. The player wants to prove that he is still capable of playing good football and a capable player in all intents and purposes.

Keeping this guy as a squad player would be a big difference maker for us... With our budget I Can't see any other player in the market that can offer what he does as a squad player, the guy can literally cover any of the midfield roles including brozo's with more quality then vecino, galigrdini and Valero combined

These kind of squad players are what you need to actually compete and win titles.....

I was pissed off that we loaned him in the first place and kept moaning that we could have used him this season numerous times.

Now I don't mind what we do with him but I'd rather we sell him and get Tonali. Since we signed him and even now, all he does is constantly whine about the way he has been treated here and how he has regrets about his time at Roma and you could tell he would kill to go back there. Even when he signed we all pointed out that he looked depressed about leaving Roma when he was greeted by a shit ton of fans as he was going to sign for us. Dude can't stop going on about them so we should just sell him and get however much we can for him. If we can't get a reasonable amount then I would rather keep him because he would be a great option off the bench, and better to have than the likes of Valero and Vecino anyway.

Yeah. Problem for us is his book value is still almost 20m€. No club is going to buy him for that given his 4.5m€ base net salary.

Maybe only Roma or Cagliari could take him. Cagliari probably cant afford him unless they manage to sell Nandez and then use some of the money for Nainggolan. Hopefully we get rid of Vecino for around 20-30mil as there were some clubs interested in him so that way if we can't find a buyer for Nainggolan he can at least take Vecino's spot on the bench behind the main 4 midfielders.

They are now running this "news" that Nainggolan would be re-instated to the squad, because of how Ausilio implied in his interview. We cannot get rid of all his salary most probably in any deal so if Radja can be convinced to play by the team rules etc etc. and not cause trouble, I guess keeping is wise.

Though we can't read much to these "reports" by the reporters, but at least that is an idea worth a thought or two. Another thing is does Radja even want to play in a team where his role is basically a supporting one or at least not one of the protagonists. I can see him being very useful for if he just keeps himself fit.

Romano said Inter intend to sell Nainggolan in the summer but i guess it's possible to keep him if we can't offload him in order to stop Conte's nagging about Vidal. :D

Italian football journalist Fabrizio Biasin spoke on Radja Nainggolan and the probability of him being handed a second chance by Inter upon his return from his loan with Cagliari.

“Maybe he will get another chance, I don’t know. It sounds strange to me. I don’t see him as a starer. I think he would also prefer a solution where he would be used more. It seems difficult for him to be in Conte’s squad next year.”

So either Nainggolan accepts he won`t be a starter or he accepts another destination [like Fiorentina]. I would love him to stay so we can finally have a massive midfield department. Except if we buy SMS. :D
