Yeah I really don't want the new logo since I only see bad business, Chinese owners and our downfall with it

Why don’t we just update it to the old logo? The logo on the banner is pre 2014. Let’s update to the 2014 one :trollol:

Can we agree on a principle of what makes a player part of the "La Grande Inter" section other than a popularity contest that serves no real purpose?

Some structure, such as:
- Won a continental trophy (Champions League, Uefa Cup, Europa League et)
- Won multiple domestic league titles
*Appeared in 50+ games during this winning period

- Or generally, appeared in 150+ games for Inter and has left his mark (was robbed of a title, was best player in the league, top scorer, fan favorite etc) or represented his national team whilst at Inter at a big stage (World Cup, Euro, Copa America, Confederations Cup etc) which gave us good rep. This could be the part where voting comes. Someone like Vieri fits the bill here. Adriano could also be an example here as he wasn't a significant part of the Scudetti he got medals for, had an impact for a Coppa Italia, but for example everyone knew he was part of Inter in those Copa America and Confederation Cup wins in 2004 and 2005 and was a Pirata d'Oro in 2004.

No.
Your structure is permitting Chivu and banning Meazza. Too arbitrary for my liking.
Players can be legends even though they haven’t won as much (some would argue Handanovic) or played during an unsuccessful time for the club, while the opposite can also very much be true.

There’s no ‘science’ to LGI. Leave it as is.

No, it does not?

Meazza won 3 Scudetti with us, is the all time scoring leader, played over 10 seasons, won 2 World Cups with Italy representing Inter and was 3 times top scorer of Serie A. That's an automatic LGI.

Chivu on the other hand could be permitted, as he was an important player for a run of Scudetti and also in winning the Champions League and has over 150 appearances for the club over 6 seasons, although you can argue that he never had a full season.

And never won a Continental Cup. I know we’ll both rather quickly agree as to why, but the point still stands.
You’ll quickly run into a lot of problems where people won’t agree on the qualifications (see: Handanovic) but that’s no different to people disagreeing on the votes.

Lol, I didn't mean that they have to do all of those, I meant it as a minimum parameter.
Either win a CL or win multiple (2-3 or more) domestic leagues. If you do both, even better, but not entirely necessary.

A player like Handanovic deserves it, but it should come to a vote unless he ends up with a European trophy or an extra league title, where it should just be automatic.

Handanovic deserves it, but has to be voted on, whereas Muntari and Chivu are automatic entrants - do you see the problem?

I don't think Muntari should be an automatic entrant.

Maybe instead of just 50 apps in a winning squad, we have 100+ but it also needs to be with a significant role (so at least 75% of those need to be starts). That puts Muntari in a vote. Even Chivu goes into a vote.
It's just a draft process of how to filter out who should be eligible for this discussion or not, similar to how basketball Hall of Fame kind of has some benchmarks a player needs to complete before being considered.

The idea here is to eliminate sentimentalisms. No voting on players who didn't really do that much in terms of adding prestige to the club, avoid overrating people at the end of a trophy drought and avoid making flags of people during droughts.

I dont know why you would want a criteria other than for your own personal fulfillment. The polls are fun and the discussions are not only good but get a good laugh out of some of us. Ronaldo not being in LGI is a great FIF meme but it's not without its reasoning.

This is an internet forum. Whatever sub-forum a player thread is shouldn't be so serious.

We had some internal discussions about "opening up" LGI votes from the past after the migration. We could re-evalute certain players' candidacy. But I think there's something beautiful about votes capturing the moment in time the decision was made.

If some teenager joins this forum in five years, they'll probably be confused why Conte isn't in LGI. A Scudetto winning manager! But the thread will serve as a time capsule as to why people voted the way they did.

Anyway, I'm against a formula. I love the emotion of the straw poll. If there's a lot of desire to reconsider some players, let me know.

One of the issues of this new design is the trouble to go to the last post of threads. There is no button on the home page for that, and even when you're in a thread there is no button to go straight to the last page/post.

Or maybe I can't find it.

When i click on the title of a thread where there are new posts it usually takes me to the last post. If that doesn't work for you, you can click on new posts at the top of the page:

and then you click on the time of last post of each thread you want to visit. It will take you to the last post.

Just click on the time it was posted. If you look at Il Drago's printed screen, you can see at the title "Achraf Hakimi" it was posted "3 minutes ago", press the "3 minutes ago"
