Some minor notes
- A good entertaining preseason match, not really tested but we seemed to take it seriously.
- To think that half of our starters have yet to join, perhaps implying that we are only showing half of our potential.
- Taremi fits well in. Solid PK-taker.
- J. Martinez passing is concerning, he gave the ball away twice. The good news is that this is friendly, he will be more cautious next time.
- Nice link up play by Fontanarosa, Carlos and Mkhi for the 2nd goal, typical triple combo movement by Bastoni, Dimarco and Mkhi.
- Nice free kick by Asllani.
- Bisseck played a very good match, reading and defending the game well, his interception and dribbling with the ball forward movement were good, he has basically nailed the right centre back role.
- Mkhi, has a significant impact on our gameplay as usual.
- Bastoni made a nice long pass to Fratessi, which unfortunately did not go in.
- Dimarco's goal is similar to Recoba's chip goal.
- Cesena has a nice pitch, which is of good quality even for a serie B venue.

Sommer looked suspect last preseason too. I won’t crucify him yet. TBH we’ll probably hardly see him this year.

TBF, he had 2 saves in the box, and deflected the shot away. But I feel he is nervous when he has to distribute the ball in the box.

I'm quite sure Martinez playing the ball out will be fine after a few more games. Instructions seem to be very explicit for keepers at Inter and Hakan/Barella haven't been there, who are the most secure players for our GK to pass to.

Bisseck there, Bastoni came in, Acerbi, Augusto. Asllani.

Barella is not getting that deep to get the first ball.

Uhhh, but he does it a lot. He won't be there every time, but Barella is known to pick the ball from the back.

Well. You spread the ball to Pavard, CBs or Bastoni. Our wingbacks. Than Hakan /Asllani or kick it forward towards our central midfield/ forwards. Unless Barella covers for Hakan/ Asllani, he should not get the first ball.

But he does, as can be seen last season. He often dropped deep to initiate the ball despite not being our regista.

Just googled it and it is at 19:30. I was like wtf 1pm kickoff in the middle of summer and amid record temperatures in this part of europe. Our players wouldn't recover until the start of the season.
