What ever happened to Talisca? I remember he was supposed to be a big talent.

Talisca is, well, not the hardest working fella. Atleast on the pitch. For a midfielder, he simply doesn't work and he is very inconsistent. He does, however, have a fantastic left foot for shooting. He can make fantastic goals out of nowhere. But that's it, he can shoot. Pretty much nothing else.

There are rumors that he might go to Wolverhampton, but he needs a work permit for that.

i've never seen him playing, but it seems he's in reality not as good as he's in CM :D
he's a beast there, my favorite :)

talisca lacks atitude and nerve. It's the same for him scoring a goal or not, winning a game or not. He could be big, but he keeps choosing to be just average, and it's a shame because he has it. It's current market value should be something around 15M€ (had a first season with a lot of goals at the age of 20)

Could Quaresma rip the league apart this season? His performance in Euro was nothing other than sensational. Had he not been there, Cristiano Ronaldo would be going home empty handed again in yet another National teams cup competition.

Basically, no. He could crack some matches, not an entire league. He's like 33 or something like that and injuries are starting to appear. Looks to be at his best thou.

Quaresma is made of moments, mostly and he's inconsistent: he can completely destroy a team in one match and in the next he might end up missing.
I highly doubt he would rip the league apart, but he most likely could rip some teams apart.

What did you guys think about the sale of Gaitan to Atletico.

Do you think he is a great player? Was the price fair? Do you think he will add a lot to Atletico?

Gaitán used to be our best player along with Jonas, he's a great winger with the special ability to decide games. I'm gonna miss him very much. He can dribble, he has great passing ability and is overall a great playmaker. His assists saved us many times. The matches against Atlético in Madrid and the last league game against Nacional are great examples of what he can do.

Personally, I think 25M was a bit low, especially after us buying the rest of Jiménez for 22M, which is WAY overpriced. 30M would have been more fair, I believe.

As for what he can add to Atlético... Well, as I have mentioned, he has quite some skill and is able to decide matches for them. His assists can be very deadly. I think he has everything to shine in Madrid. His first few matches there have been very good.
However, Gaitán has a problem, he doesn't defend much. And that's something you kinda need to do at Atlético. I'm interested to see if he'll improve that aspect. He also didn't use to be a very good finisher, although in his last 2 matches at Benfica he managed to get 3 goals and now has 2 (unofficial) goals for Atléti, so he might be getting better at that.

Looking forward to watch him at the La Liga and I wish him the best of luck!

Will Carrillo be starting for you this year?

Do you think Pizzi is going to begin to attract interest from the bigger leagues soon?

Why did Diego Rubio fail at Sporting? I remember him being extremely highly regarded.

Carrillo spent around 10 months without playing competitively, and is far from the form he showed at Sporting. During this pre-season, he look really slow and heavy. For now, Franco Cervi will be the one playing for us on the left, and I doubt Carrillo will be able to take the place away from him. Let's see.

Pizzi... I guess not. Pizzi is very important right now for us, probably our right winger in better shape at the moment, but he can be infuriating to watch. In one moment he might do something worthy of a Messi and the next one do something worthy of a 2nd division player. He can be great and awful. He's a good player though, don't get me wrong. But I don't see him leaving.

As for Diego Rubio... I don't remember him that well, actually. He played mostly for the B team. A Sporting fan might be able to give you a better answer.

A Maltese striker scored for Boavista against Benfica (and Julio Cesar  )

That is major sports news for us, covered by the newspapers. It's like winning a major tournament.
