If we're looking into American players still since Tessman failed i really rate Tyler Adams as a good backup for holding mid given the Asllani experiment has appeared to have failed. He can play elsewhere in midfield and Im pretty sure he could function as a LCB or RCB given he can be deployed at LB/RB. Pretty sure he's captain of the USMNT too. transfer markt says 15 mil so hes likely out of our price range for a rotation player though.

haha man if we could get Tah and David that would be awesome. No one else is really realistic.

A bigger club will go for Sane but man..... we should attempt to do it. Would be a massive massive signing for us. We can guarantee champions league, a top 3 finish every season and pretty much a starting spot in the 11. Barca, Real, Man City can't do that

Def not happening - Davies(Real Bound and why when we have DiMarco?), Kimmich(real Bound or cover for Rodri at Man City), Arnold(can't see Liverpool not giving him $$$ to stay) would just be way too expensive

Van Dijk/Salah(hear he has a crazy deal to go to a Saudi team) is too expensive/Old

I don't think we'd have the wage budget to go after too many of them but Tah and David is a must then at least sniff around for Kimmich and Sane.

The only downside to our system is that it makes looking at wingers useless. There's no role for wingers in this system. Obviously we make it work just fine, but if you're seriously talking Sané, it's useless. He's maddeningly inconsistent as it is anyway and most surely above our desired pay range, but even without those factors, there's nowhere for him to play. I'm not interested in seeing him try to play as a wingback, lol.

There's a pretty high chance David is playing his way out of what we're willing to pay. Thuram scored 16 goals in 32 appearances in his last season with Gladbach, David's already at 11 goals in 14 games with Lille this season. If he gets to around 25 goals this season, I'm assuming some Prem clubs will be sniffing like sharks and willing to pay stupider money than we're going to be allocated by Oaktree. But I'd love to be wrong.

CDK would only play here in a 3-4-1-2. I’d be cautious because Atalanta is the perfect fit for him. Not sure he’s an Inzaghi player but a perfect player for Gasperini.

In my opinion, this is an ideal candidate for number 1 next year, the contract expires in 2026, so it should be worth around 20 million.

Lookman looks like the typical Atalanta system player to me. Flop at Leipzig, underwhelming in EPL. He has only been good at Atalanta.

I think the smart thing to do is to look at some of the current man utd players in the near future as potential signings. Given their recent form, amorim will for sure make a huge clear out in the summer and imo there are some interesting players there we could get on loan with the option or something like that. A lot of their current players that are even considered flops would be quality players in the right system and in seria a. Mctominay is the latest example of that.
