Robin Gosens. I would want us to target higher than Gosens but desperate times call for desperate measures. Rumours about Darmian made me think of left wingbacks we could realistically get in January and i ended up with him. Even though i have always been reluctant to believe the hype about Atalanta players i am willing to take the risk with him. He has been great for them this season and i certainly prefer him over Darmian. We have an excellent relationship with Atalanta so i don't think we would struggle finding an agreement with them.

Kind of curious to see how he bounces back from his worst moment at Inter (conceding the penalty today). I'm not saying the penalty was egregious or anything, but let's see how he does not that he has faced some semblance of adversity.

He's probably going to be benched for the next one anyway as we're bound to have the Godin-De Vrij-Skriniar trio eventually. Or maybe D'Ambrosio could start if he's really back. Unless we have a Coppa game next, which could mean something like D'Ambrosio(if fit) with Ranocchia and one of Skriniar/Bastoni to complete the trio.

Nah. I had suggested him as a January fix. He signed an extension few days ago and he isn't worth the money Atalanta are going to ask for him. I want someone better than Gosens in the summer.

In search of a LWB/LB I still think Inter should try and sign Tagliafico from Ajax. Defensively and attacking wise he is a very good and due to the corona crisis and an agreement with Ajax he will cost around 25M. Instead of going for expensive options we should get him now. Also in salary he won't be very high demanding I think, as the other options will be. The only problem maybe is that he always plays LB for Ajax and not LWB. Well, technically if he came to us it would certainly be a step up But it was just an idea, there's not exactly a lot of great deals to be had on the striker market this summer and considering we might need to buy 2 or 3 (Sanchez out, Lautaro to Barca, and Esposito on loan somewhere) it might be a good idea to start looking for some more unorthodox solutions.

There’s no reason not to spend the same you would for, say, Emerson for Gosens, and you get the league’s best wingback for relative peanuts.

And I usually scoff at Danish players, but Robert Skov of Hoffenheim could be worth a look (if he’s not already too expensive - CIES has him at 45 mil) if we’re actually committed to Conte and his 5 midfielders.
