Hakan is supposed to be the one, but he barely even hit the target so far.

Just forget about scoring a direct freekick altogether. Other than Messi and... James Ward Prowse, no one can consistently hit the ball with enough power and precision to be a threat at FK.

Meh us fans drastically overestimate how many direct freekicks are actually scored even by experts.
For example Juninho arguably the best Freekick taker the game has ever seen has scored 77 freekicks over a 20 year career....
Also Hakan currenty is number 3 in terms of numbers of freekicks scored by players who are still active behind only messi and CR...
Further more a direct free kick is scored only in 6% of all cases

It was exciting to watch free kicks in the Serie A back then.

Assuncao, Mihajlovic, Recoba, Signori, Batistuta, Nakamura, Del Piero, Totti, Baggio, Pirlo, and many others.

Giving up a free kick even from 30 metres away was risky, especially for Miha and Bati.

Even Miha and Signori scored hat-tricks from free kicks back then apparently.

I think it is more power/muscle related than composure; which makes him compensate it by putting in more power than he can control, which leads to the lost control of directing it.

Right, but I'd rate Hakan more than Mikhy in terms of who needs to be replaced. But that's a good problem to have.

Miki does not pretend to replace Hakan. If you saw very little of Zielinski, how sure are you if he can replace Miki?
