from what i have read from mancini's press conference, at least this signing of Choutos won't force Vieri to leave. As much as i read, Mancini and Vieri are good friends and he has no intention of selling him.

After reading that post from XT I really truly hope that the only reason why we've signed Choutos is to sell him or trade him away. We don't need a player like him especially when we are packed upfront! Hopefully we do use him to get Kompany :star:

The guy was not even presented to the media. I dont think he figures much into the plans for next season but more as a swap deal for getting other players. I truly hope so, because this signing makes no sense if we are meant to keep him.

ateast, we won't have to spend tons of $$ after he becomes a star player. If we have the chance, then just grab him !!
loan him to other clubs, then burdisso ---- kompany would lead inter to glory after few seasons; when cordoba & j.zanetti wud take branca and oriali's place !!

Internazionale have signed Greek international Lambros Choutos on a free transfer from Olympiakos.
Choutos has declined a fresh deal with Olympiakos and has penned a three-year contract with the Italian giants instead.

The 24-year-old is perceived as a somewhat surprise acquisition by the Nerazzurri but is not expected to remain at Giuseppe Meazza for long.

He is tipped to be used as makeweight in one of the bigger deals Inter are attempting to conclude over the summer. Premiership duo Birmingham City and Bolton Wanderers have previously been linked with the forward, along with Portuguese titans Benfica.

Choutos, who did not make Greece's successful Euro 2004 squad, has also been mooted as a bargaining chip in Inter's bid to sign Anderlecht's highly-rated defender Vincent Kompany.

The attacker has played in Serie A before with Roma but it appears unlikely he will be handed a serious opportunity to prove he can perform in Italy.

I'll welcome the guy, even though we dont need strikers but he is an Inter player and whatever happens, ill wish him good luck.

I don't think we are gonna keep him since if we were he wold have been shown to the media, pics would have been taken, he would have talked to the public, and he would have taken pics with the Inter.it shirt. None of these things happened and he went straight to training. SO I definately think that come season time he will have already been gone in some deal to bring another player to the side.

As for Kompany, can anyone explain what has he achieved at club or even international level to be considered world class? He’s not WORLD class, he’s got a lot of talent for a 17 year old, but I have yet to see him achieve what Burdisso has done :stuckup:
