Well, definitely Martins is a player for EPL, just like Carrick and others.
Shevchenko, Adriano and others, are more for S.A.

Mike I was only piss taking. :D (Is there such a word as piss taking?)

Well I'm glad that Martins is having a great time over there. That first goal was something that we'd never see him do in Inter. Maybe it's because the Serie A defenders have figured him out...The same case with Adriano. The second goal was a great finish too.

It'll be interesting how Oba will do once Owen recovers though. Can they co-exist? One thing for sure, defenders would be having a hell of a time trying to catch up with them.

I dont think Oba will stay at Newcastle for long. Im sure some big English clubs will bid big time for him.

Bah, I don't think so. At Newcastle Martins is the star of the team...

Back here with us he was one of the other strikers and he got small hint to look for another club, so he did so...

It doesnt matter if he is the star of the team, and we sold him,he didnt leave, had we opted to not sell him he would have stayed, proof of this is that he extended his contract with us to 2010.

Selling him was a big mistake and he is showing this with his great performances for Newcastle. I really do think we would have been better off by keeping Martins and selling Adriano.

I remember the Ajax tournament where Oba rammed in 2 goals and I thought INTER you better keep our Nigerian jewel, unfortunately it just wasn't meant to be.

Hopefully our right to have the first option on him will be used in a couple of years of time when he finally will have matured as a player.

Oh come on guys we have a killer attack quit crying over spilt milk Martins was good but we have strikers who are just as good. Sometimes Martins really pissed me off with his lack of finishing prowess which he seems to have changed this season lol we were unlucky we miscalculated maybe. But Martins was good but he is replacable as we saw this season with Ibra. Im glad Martins left because if he stayed we could have ruined his career by taking him for granted and not playing him like Recoba. I'm glad Martins can grow as a player outside of Italy and become a big star elsewhere its for the best.

Who is crying? Just stating that the guy could have been more worthy of a place in the current Inter squad than for example a Adriano. So dont make it sound like we are not happy with our current attack wich we are. He is not being compared with Ibra as Ibra is a far bigger weapon to have but he is being compared with the current Adriano. Lets just hope that Mancini gives Adriano more chances in the upcoming Serie A games so that Adriano can prove that he is still a striker worthy of Inter wich I really do think he STILL is. Maybe next time you should read better!

All I was implying is that its useless to talk about things like this saying Adriano should have gone Martins should have stayed. Its a waste of time because what happened maybe I was a tad bit excessive in the way I passed commen before. Now we have Adriano now we don't know if Martins would have done better than him if he played for inter this year we don't know all we have are what ifs? All I know is right now we have Adri and we have to support Adri. Martins is at a different club now and that aint gonna change sadly for some.

Newcastle are gonna need a better team, especially in the back, around him if they want him to stay and possibly challenge. Sooner or later, the big teams are gonna come calling. Not to say Newcastle is small but in terms of money they fall short of Chelsea (who doesn't?), Man Utd and Liverpool.

I do hope he stays with the Magpies though. Great fans. :star:

I don't exactly know what you mean or imply but let's just say this: We all know that the reason Martins left Inter was because Inter deemed him surprlus, or inferior to its requirements and bought Crespo and Ibrahimovic. And when they come, someone obviously had to go and Martins was the one being let go.

I'll put one up his ass if the rumour of him moving to Juventus materialize.
