Impressive tally considering his slow start and injuries. Still kind of weird for me to see him playing in the EPL with Newcastle. Doesnt seem right for some reason.

EPL yes, but not newcastle, too bad he didn't go to Pool instead of Bellamy.
MARTINS-KUIJT and CROUCH on the bench it's a hell of attack.

LOL! especially in black and white

but to the point, martins wouldnt suit benitez's style of play

its also a great club for martins to be at newcastle as the side will now be built around martins

Bring him back to do what? Ibra has been on fire since he joined us and rightly untouchable as a starting player. Cruz is as reliable as usual when he comes in in the latter of our games. Crespo.. well I don’t need to say anything about him. And Adri has finally made some kind of improvement and surely but slowly getting back to his usual self. So what the heck is Oba suppose to do? Help Chino getting fit or what?
I was and somehow is still sad to see him leave, but lets be realistic and face the truth and the truth is that Oba is not good enough for our current team.. maybe maybe some day in the future...

He will never adapt to Serie A play simply because he doesn't have the technique or that passing ability. In the EPL he'll shtack plenty of goals cuz it's dump and chase and he can beat most of the defenders there because of his speed. He can't do that shit here all he'll ever manage to do his get the opposing CB's extremely exhausted from marking him all the time.

His style of play is for England, but his heart is for Italy (Inter)

I believe I was, and still am, one of the biggest Martins supporters in this forum. However, despite my affections towards Oba, I don't think a move back to Inter would be beneficial to both parties. Inter has settled well with this stiker combinations of Adri, Ibra, Crespo, Cruz and, well, Recoba. To get Martins back would be taking a step backwards.

I still think that Martins is a very good and underestimated player. However, you don't change something that's not broken. Our forwards have been scoring regularly this season and it would be a shame to break them up.

I wish Martins all the best in his Newcastle career. :)

Sadly, I have to agree with Mike and Han. I love Oba and will always follow him, wherever he ends up, but he's built for Premiership where there is a helluva lot more space to operate for a player of his characteristics. In Italy, it's so much more "confined" and the opposing players rarely give you any time on the ball.

There would be no reason to bring him back anytime soon. Ibra, Adri (finally rounding into form), Crespo, Cruz and when he's healthy, Chino. Possibly the best group of forwards in Europe.

I have to agree to bring him back now would be on of the stupidest things to do especially fore OBA he would get no playing time and it would be another back step in his career. Anyway i hope we can discuss this again in two ore three years when Crespo,Recoba and Cruz might retire!!
So i stil got my hopes to see him back one day
